nico hey gamers, happy to poke out of my hole to report Requiem was an absolute heater of a game, and you can probably expect me to do something with Grace whenever I get the chance

"Mhm! You could probably be a good cook as a job or something!" [*The poor pancakes were gone in a matter of mere moments. They seem to really love this specific food.] "So...uhm, I like your hair! It's pretty!"

[*Niko nodded, taking the plate with an appreciative smile as they began to cut through the fluffy breakfast item, taking a bite...] "...wow, this is really good, aubrey!" [*...either they're just being nice or they were very easy to please.]

nico this is mostly an issue I have with Nintendo and open worlds in general. it feels like they don't understand what made BOTW and TOTK work so well. Open world games need to give you a reason to explore every nook and cranny. RDR2 is the best open world game ever made because there is always +

ᴍʏ ʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ ɪꜱ ʟɪɢʜᴛ. @thisburdenislight.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

nico I think its warranted to be skeptical of pokemon games. The issue, at least to me, is how bad of a first impression this is. Bad starter designs and pretty graphics is all we got. There needs to be significant changes to the core designs of the open world if this is, well, open world.

ᴍʏ ʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ ɪꜱ ʟɪɢʜᴛ. @thisburdenislight.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

nico I think a bit of skepticism is warranted with their track record, but yeah, I won't be writing this off until I see legitimate gameplay, then I'll make my decision on if I think it'll be worth it.

ᴍʏ ʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ ɪꜱ ʟɪɢʜᴛ. @thisburdenislight.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

ᴍʏ ʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ ɪꜱ ʟɪɢʜᴛ. @thisburdenislight.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

nico graphics look surprisingly good for a pokemon game, I will admit that. it only took, what, close to ten years before they learned how to work a shader or something but like who cares about pokemon RESIDENT EVIL 9 OUT TODAY ON ALL PLATFORMS GO PLAY IT PLAY IT PLAY IT NOW AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

ᴍʏ ʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ ɪꜱ ʟɪɢʜᴛ. @thisburdenislight.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

nico im so sorry but there isnt a single design out of the three that looks appealing. maybe their evolutions will be better but these first impression are rough. Every Pokemon game before this had at least one design for the first evo I really liked.

010

ᴍʏ ʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ ɪꜱ ʟɪɢʜᴛ. @thisburdenislight.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

000

ᴍʏ ʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ ɪꜱ ʟɪɢʜᴛ. @thisburdenislight.bsky.social · 27/02/2026

“R-right…!” [*Scanner picks up nothing. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Cyn up and left the place with the Sun in hand. One hell of a treasure hunt this would be. Something with the power to light up a whole world? In her hands…?] “w-who even is this?”

000

ᴍʏ ʙᴜʀᴅᴇɴ ɪꜱ ʟɪɢʜᴛ. @thisburdenislight.bsky.social · 27/02/2026
