There are a lot of AI slop videos showing how to do low level scams to make 300-400 dollars a month by using AI to scam. It’s like the oil salesman mixed with a pyramid scheme pulling the curtain back and making the real money off of teaching people how to be their own oil salesman pyramid.

The thing about el-sayed is he simply refuses to pick up conservative framing. Reg dems seem to LOVE to run with conservative framing as if years of Joe Manchin style politics always worked. El-Sayad is just the best at shutting it down and saying we need to talk about things that actually matter.

At least from my perspective right now YouTube growth has a bit more of a distanced growth where as twitch is so much more interpersonal and a little more parasocial too. To grow on twitch you really need to create networks and while they might be important on YT you don’t need it to start out.

From an algorithm and audience perspective it is truly wild how different creator growth is between Twitch and YouTube. My dissertation is about Twitch and improv but I’m almost sad I’m not comparing youtube and twitch at this point because of the very different connections they have.

Almost ready to try my luck on a top 50 albums for 2005 video. Searched similar strings to see how the algorithm plays and there are some low best ofs. But I don’t see a lot with bigger numbers. We’ll see how it does overall. I think sharing YouTube algorithm details is a fun idea on here.

One of the fun things about being a media and cultural sociologist is attempting to create more of a social media presence. Obviously it’s better for my brand anyways but it’s been fun understanding each platform’s algorithms, seeing what creates growth, studying other’s patterns across all genres.

On social media they’re saying they were as surprised as the public but there’s evidence 10 months ago of people speculating on snap getting taken down due to the connection so I think their media strategy was just hoping they wouldn’t be affected and then do damage control if they were.
