While your sentiment is 100% correct, I don't think this is that event. Thousands of cases of plague occur every year or few years and they don't result in pandemics. But if there is a pandemic of some kind, you're right that we are screwed.

My mom sent me some Hatch as a birthday present one year. She calls me and asks if it is ok to get the hottest. I'm Latino and like hot food, so I'm like "sure, it's green chile, how hot can it be? It was like chemical weapon spicy. I'm pretty spice- tolerant and it was on the edge of edible.

We bought a used fleet vehicle that was like new, but generally yes, a bit. I'm not arguing with your basic premise, I mostly walk/bike whenever I am living in cities. I'm just pointing out that rural life also has a spectrum of possibilities that need not include a giant truck.

True, but cheap and environmentally friendly options are also available outside cities. We have a Chevy Bolt in a rural area. Driving about 6 hours a week and we paid $19 for the entire month of charging at home.

I know, I know. I need to get my shingles vax soon and I'm not looking forward to it. A lot of people tell me it's rough. But it seems there's some evidence that it may be helpful for preventing dementia...so does that hint at the possibility that some dementia may be herpes related?
