Marathon. Glitch with my favorite gun. Please ignore Void's lack of horns. And the scopeless longshot. Oop. #marathonthegame #glitch #vandal #void #assassin #aux #triage #sketchbook #stryderM1T

Vampire short comic page 4 (last page) I'm learning a lot doing these quick comics! Thinking eventually I'll compile theses into a book, a compendium of mini stories. #vampire #comic #short #manga #traditional #ink #inking

I'll be having a listen for sure, thanks for sharing your music

🫪 you're just making these up surely?!

Not one do I recognise haha, but now I'm curious

I'm wondering what music you got going on while doing this epic stuff?!

I grew up #birodrawing. To me, they’re basically #ink pencils, I love the range of shading and tone you get #crosshatching. It takes forever to fill a page like this, but the effect is worth it. This came from a sketch I did years ago, when I was heavily into #cyberpunk. #inking #traditionalart

Looks pretty! What pen 🖊️ is it?

Second this! I actually made a similar post about giving myself permission to make shit comic. What strange creatures us artists are

Looks amazing, brilliant inking and the water is so well executed!

Working on a short 4 page manga style comic, exploring style and workflow using traditional techniques. I'm pencilling and inking traditionally, then cleaning up and toning digitally. The 4 page idea is to quickly explore different processes. #mangaart #mangastyle #indiecomic #comicpage #comic

Very cool, I admire your patience

Exactly the same haha, it's just not as gratifying I guess.

Taking some timeout from a super busy show to do some studies, I'd be happy if my comic looked a tenth as good as Berserk. #berserk #kentaro #miura #manga #study #ink #inking #traditional #fountainpen #drawing #art #comic #guts #master #anime #linework #rocks #stone #black #shadow #demon #ghoul

I'm really into fountain pens, I picked up a fine and extra fine Pilot Kakuno which have quickly become my favourites. I also use a dip pen, using a tachikawa g nib and sailor ink. I really enjoy the natural line variation you get with a nib, it feels like a proper craft.

I realised something today, I needed to give myself permission to make a shit comic. I've been so wrapped up in making it perfect that I've completely stalled. Now I can just get going and embrace the ugly for the sake of progress! #comic #comics #art #reflection #advice #journey #creating

It's great seeing how deliberate and comfortable your strokes are. Would you say you've seen growth by going straight to ink? Kinda forcing yourself to be more intentional?

BonesMcoy @thinkart.bsky.social · 13/07/2025

I really like your style, this is awesome!

BonesMcoy @thinkart.bsky.social · 10/07/2025

looks really cool, plus I love to see dip pen inking.

I like it, it adds an informal vibe to it

BonesMcoy @thinkart.bsky.social · 09/07/2025

Wow! this is seriously impressive.

BonesMcoy @thinkart.bsky.social · 09/07/2025

I imagine there's a nice quality to the label for drawing, as it's designed to accept and hold ink for postage. Is that why you use them?

110

BonesMcoy @thinkart.bsky.social · 07/07/2025

I guess that's why I asked, because I don't think it matters. I sometimes feel that even when no ref is used, the visual memory an artist develops is akin to a kind of ref. The ref of experience, which is so individualistic. But I appreciate your explanation, and I completely see your point

110

BonesMcoy @thinkart.bsky.social · 07/07/2025

I saw your work and followed instantly!

010

BonesMcoy @thinkart.bsky.social · 07/07/2025

When it looks effortless you know it's because of the mountain of effort you put in up to now. I'm curious why you feel the need to state if ref was used or not?

Thanks! 🙏 Beautiful work!

Really cool style, I feel like this is the style I've been chasing myself.

BonesMcoy @thinkart.bsky.social · 23/06/2025

The texture and detailing is really nice, I wish these were higher res so I can look more closely.

Had a thought about a Samurai armourer in medieval Europe, and what the armour fusion might look like. Traditional dip pen art. #samurai #armour #art #illustration #medieval #manga #comic #indiecomic #sketch #drawing #OC #traditionalart #dippen #inking #ink #design #character #japanese #europe
