The fan behind the film, however, is Daniel Thron, who wrote and directed CUTSCENE ZERO. If you were wondering how the film was so true to the cutscene aesthetics of the original trilogy, that's because he was the guy originally animating them.

CUTSCENE ZERO is a fan-made Thief film, released in 2023. It's set just before The Dark Project begins, with a conversation between Constantine and Viktoria discussing their plot to bring the Trickster back to power. The film even brings back Terri Brosius to reprise her role as Viktoria.
