I am sorry you feel that way, but it is possible that you misunderstand. I always aim to be inclusive, not isolationist. I am only against people who tell artists what to do, that's really my main point. The AI issue should not be on the shoulder of artists, it should empower them, ideally.

I am ok with this being a bizarre interaction for you, it is for me, too. It is bizarre because what I have said is incredibly normal and reasonable, frankly. I would not say to stop caring about the real world, I would say care about it as much as you like, however you feel is right.

I like to think that any true artist would not have trouble with my stance. I am in no way saying be ignorant, I am saying make up your own mind. Any artist who questions their own ability to explore, experiment, discover through their work is in an artist compromised. Artistic freedom, always.

This means "no, I do not necessarily support the company town-ification of small towns in the name of data centres, yet, I have a sort of storytellers romance about the idea of a company town." Basically, it should be ok to use AI a little bit for some things, but it shouldn't replace everything.

I am sorry you feel this way. I do not see a future where I do not use the internet to help me with programming, and as far as I can see, there is no way to do that without using AI. I chose to be honest about my usage, and how. If that somehow detracts from the art, I'm not sure that is my problem.
