i bought a sewing machine. i don't know how to sew (beyond simple handstitch). but i'm tired of knowing it would prob be really easy to fix clothes (plus, my husband is short & my kids seem to be taking after him, so learning to hem is a good skill to have lol)

my 9/11 posts is a whine: i sound like a patriotic asshole when i get upset about 9/11 jokes but that's not it at all. I was nowhere near it, but I remember hearing classmates sobbing because they had parents who were pilots or flight attendants and couldn't get ahold of them.

it's fascinating how ruined HP is for me now. my #1 fandom for literally 20 years. fast forward to today, just read a buddie fic that did an HP quote towards the end threw me out of the whole thing like "ew gross" when previously i had a good friend who had (got it covered) a tattoo of the quote

the history page count does not accurately describe how much time I have spent on ao3. 1) I almost exclusively read longer fics so that limits the number of entries here. 2) for the first probably 5-6 years I mostly read on the computer and definitely didn't log in all the time
