Daily Post #6 - This has been in the works for a bit, and on hold mostly due to the day job stealing most my time, but I'm working on a large D20 to serve as a master for a mold. The end goal is to cast it in expanding foam.

Daily Post #5 - Old woodworking project, mahogany toy chest, replicating one made by the client's great grandfather more than 70 years ago. Hand cut/chiseled joints, laser engraved letters, and a food safe finish. Wish I had a picture of the hand carved feet I made for it.

Open topped Mahogany toy box with interlocked joints in the corners. On corner is facing the camera to show this. Each face has an art deco border and a letter burned on to look like a child's letter block. B and C are visible.

Daily Post Birthday Edition - just an old sketch of my sona, Hunter, but as the hand puppet I'll finish someday. Work keeps flying me out all around to put out fires(metaphorically, for the most part) and I keep getting sick, so no personal projects for me for now. Headed to El Paso on friday.

Daily post #3 - Some more watercolors from those last cons, and me vending at my table in my Wolf Link suit, with a mask that a mysterious passerby let me try on.

Two pinback buttons in my hand. Both have watercolor portraits of furry characters. One is a white/blue/grey Main Coone Cat with an orange visor, the other is a dark, earth toned Eastern Dragon.

A polaroid style watercolor portrait sitting on a wooden drawing board. The character is a pig with dreadlocks, named Crackle, and is wearing a pink and green vertical striped shirt with a yellow star on it, and holding a toy lobster. The name is written across the bottom in bubbly letters, colored in a style that matches the shirt.

Watercolor portrait meant to be pressed into a pinback button, of a purple anthro bat with white hair, green eyes, and blue accents. She is holding her hand/wing up in a wave that covers one eye.

Me in my Wolf Link fursuit, brown and white fur, wearing a forest green tunic and brown leather bags and accessories over it, and putting on a carved wooden Keaton mask.

Daily post #2 - The last two watercolors from the last con I went to, a character button done less than an hour to close, and polaroid style with only the direction, "Awkward Selfie Energy."

A colorful pinback button of a white cat with rainbow hair in a pink sweater and cream skirt, in front of a rainbow background.

A black-haired, black-furred anthro rabbit in a purple hoodie tries to take a selfie with a slushie while the gas station is being robbed. Mini polaroid style watercolor painting.

While I'm still kind of laid up sick, I'm gonna get started on something I've been meaning to do for a bit. Some friends have been pushing me to post more, so I'm gonna start posting old art and projects, daily. Starting off, this leather wrapped flask, lasered with another creator's logo.

You know what would be an amazing feature for social media, the ability to add a note when you block someone, or the option for the last comment/post/dm you viewed from them to save as a reminder. Because I noticed today, that some folks I blocked recently all have new names and pfps in the list.

Got work to give me the weekend off for ACFI if I take care of a BIG event monday. Caught a nasty (and fast) stomach bug at said event. Losing 10 pounds in 2 days is no fun, and I'm probably going to be recovering all weekend. Cats are loving the mattress on the floor next to the bathroom though.

Did a random attack for my first artfight of the year, and filmed a time-lapse! Attack for Catversary. www.tiktok.com/t/ZTSxyndp5/ Did it a few days ago, and forgot to crosspost. Hope I get time to do more, but man, work isn't usually this busy in summer.

Not done, but far enough along to post. I've been playing with brush inks instead of my usual dip pen. Got a cheap $5 set of 5 fine brushes meant for fingernail art. They're pretty good, but the really long one likes to drop all the ink at once. I definitely recommend them, just be careful of that.

Cutting it close, but yay! ARTFIGHT! Don't know how active I'll be. Probably won't be doing 50+ attacks like last time, and gonna try to use the ipad more instead of going 100% physical media.

I also have some instrument stuff to post soon. Work was insane starting right after TFF. Biggest con of the year, followed by just under two months of events that logged half as many hours as all of last year. But, work got me this, so, now that I can breath again, it's time make some cool stuff.

Finished up 2 more watercolor polaroids for @garrettsimpson1.bsky.social Sly Cooper and Sola-To-Robo this time! Between work & art block, these took way too long, but I'm pretty happy with 'em, especially the city at night. If you want one, they're $25 for 1 character, $40 for 2, shipped in the US.

Two small watercolor paintings made to look like Polaroid pictures.

One is of Sly Cooper and Carmelita Fox from the Sly Cooper video games standing close to each other on a rooftop in a night time city scene. Caption reads, "Almost had me this time, inspector!" And "How was there a camera up there?!" Followed by the character names.

The other is Red Savarin and Elh Melizee from the game Sola-To-Robo against a bright blue sky. Elh is piloting Red's robot, and Red is holding on to the arm/wing, looking worried. Caption reads, "Easy on the throttle, Elh... Elh?" Followed by the character names.

Had a piece of equipment in need of repair. During a phone call, I'm told to try percussive maintenance. Pick it up, drop it 2 feet. I was hesitant, but they're like, repairs are a flat rate no matter what, so there's no risk. So I did it. It worked. Got to love technology sometimes.

Steps to installing an air compressor power switch. 1 - realize switch is broken 2 - replace with cheap local sourced switch that fits 1 to 1 3 - that switch lasts a week 4 - order better OEM switch 5 - wait weeks for it to arrive 6 - realize it has a different air fiiting for the pressure cutoff

Just got my new paints in. I'll be getting back to Instruments after a long delay. This last month, I think I've learned more about their finish I've been using, and how to work with it properly, than the entire time I've been using it. Hopefully, that means I finally get these 2 commissions done.

Finally off my involuntary phone detox! (A.K.A. leaving my phone at the airport terminal for a connecting flight). I was crammed in my chair, headphones on, and listening to music, then the plane backs out of the gate, and the music stops, replaced by the words, "Bluetooth disconnected."

Artfight starts tomorrow, but can't post my card, or update my refs because my pc & art supplies are in boxes while I build this free soundbooth I got from a retiring audiologist. Then I need to get right back to my two instrument comms. So much sanding, but they're so close to being done, it hurts.

If you use glitter in your instrument or furniture finishes, invest in the self-leveling sealers, they are worth it. I didn't have any when I sprayed this one, and it's taking way longer to level the finish on it than on other ukes. Faces are done though, once the edges are done, I can wet-sand.

Now that the van window is taken care of, and I don't have work for a few days, it's going to be all about sanding. Leveling the finish on these two commissions that I've taken way too long on. The pink one gets final polish after this, and the red one gets a color layer, sunburst, and more finish.

My grandmother passed today, at the age of 95. Got the news in the middle of looking for a plane ticket. Guess she really was serious when she said she didn't want anybody flying out. She always had the last word, for as long as I can remember. Guess that comes with having 8 kids, & 30+ grandkids.

One week since my last post, and I have accomplished almost nothing. I went to work for one day(hat branding instead of the usual leather), and immediately got sick. I'm just now clearing up, but still coughing up leftover gunk. Negative for covid, and the cats have been keeping watch over me.
