There is a primary in Virginia June 17 for Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General and House of Delegates. Early voting is available through June 14. As usual there is almost no information about any of the candidates other than Abigail Spanberger (D). More information is needed!

Y'all, this is worth noting. Everybody head to Pensacola for your Florida Vacay. The beaches are white, lots of good restaurants and historical downtown. Support blue dots in the red. Congratulations @gayforcongress.bsky.social

I don't know about anybody else but I'm ready for the part of the novel when the villain gets what he/she deserves. That goes double for his stupid posse circling around on their horses in some drunken fashion shooting at anything that moves including themselves.

I keep seeing posts that say--"Doge did this and doge did that." Who did it, who is the person or persons taking these actions? Somebody made a decision and acted on it. I want to know their names. Everything they do should be investigated to pinpoint precisely who made the decision and then acted.

If laws are being broken--which specific laws? And who or what has jurisdiction over those laws? Lawsuits are one thing but I want to know specifically who or what entity can take Musk and his flying monkeys into custody in the meantime? Take them out of the buildings now. Time for action.

Cartoonist Chester Commodore (Aug. 22, 1914-April 10, 2004) started with The Chicago Defender, the biggest newspaper in the Black press in 1948. He drew editorial cartoons & worked on comic strips such as The Sparks, Bungleton Green (taking over for Jay Jackson), and more. #BlackHistoryMonth

A four panel comic strip, The Sparks, which was his first comic strip.

A political cartoon showing the Prime Minister of South Africa shaking hands with a Dixiecrat, which a crow (with the label "Jim Crow" on his hat) stands between them smiling. Above them is a sign that says "Birds of a Feather."

An installment of Bungleton Green by Commodore.

Re the illegal activities of Musk and company, I attempted to call my representative and senators in Virginia and got voice mail for McClellan. Left a voicemail. Went to muzak with Warner for quite some time and static message from Kaine that went in and out and nothing happened. Will keep trying.

Can we at least spell the country Colombia properly in our outrage information posts? I'm seeing post after post spelling it as if it's Columbia which is a university in NYC among other places in the US also spelled Columbia.

I just got a call from my previous Dr.'s office in CA telling me that a medication I take is in recall. I live in VA. I have a Dr. in VA. CVS medical records are a robotic mess. The recall doesn't bode well. So what happens when there is no longer any communication. Grateful for CA functionality.

RIP Jules Feiffer. One of the first comics artists I discovered and loved as an adult. This event took place in 2012 at Mocca in NYC with Danny Fingeroth herding Jules Feiffer and the great Irwin Hasen in conversation. It was vaudeville at its finest.

I was feeling so sad watching President Carter's casket arrive at the capital and worried about the fires in California and then I saw the laugh out loud snarky posts about Zuck and his no facts and I cheered up. And we kept Virginia blue.

Almost all the holiday greetings I got--Happy Whatever--had a p.s. which in so many words amounted to--oh and Fuk 45. I guess that's pretty much how everyone is feeling. Fa la la la lah.

Is it just me or is all this tariff talk from IQ45 like the typical mob scenario--"nice little country you got there, if you give me--fill in the blank--you won't have any problems, otherwise..." Everything, absolutely everything is a con or grift with him.

I read Peter Matthiessen's book The Snow Leopard in 1983 while on a journey through Thailand, Malaysia, and China in just after the cultural revolution. Shortly after I had a chance to hear him speak about his book In The Spirit of Crazy Horse. Well worth the read. Free Leonard Peltier.

Like so many here I am relieved that President Biden pardoned his son. I have been worried about what would happen to him once IQ45 occupies the people's house. I'm also worried about others and I hope they're prepared. Now pardon Leonard Peltier! The Spirit of Crazy Horse, Peter Matthiessen.

Introduction--I write about comics and create comics. It's my heritage--my grandfather founded what is now known as DC Comics. How he lost the company is a mythic tale. My profile pic is a character he created in 1935-Sandra of the Secret Service. Lee Marrs and I recently created a new Sandra tale.

Sondra of the Secret Service and the Cuban Affair. Sandra/Sondra discovers a Nazi plot and saves the day.
