To clarify, it's established that Alby sucks already. That's why it's felt like the backlash was broader than that. Him being rude and dismissive is well-known.

Sure, that's valid I think. Albernaz is definitively not a nice person, so that doesn't feel like what all of the broader backlash is to. I would probably give a thumbs up to the message and eye roll to myself, rather than ghosting. But, Palmer still isn't qualified here- despite the accolades.

Like I love palmer and what he is and I think there's value to be had from him of course. But this whole thing just feels self-aggrandizing on his part to say "well I tried to help but they didn't want me". And it's Colton Cowser's performance against LHP he's talking about? Like come on

I fear I'll get blasted for this but I don't think that Jim Palmer, who last pitched in the 80s, and has not been involved in any sort of baseball operations since, is somebody I want my team really taking advice from on hitting in the modern era? I feel like we're just conflating grievances here.

Trey Gibson has clearly put in a ton of work at AAA, that is a meaningfully improved 4s. And improving 4S shape is just very difficult to do. Hell of a game to round out the year for him.

He used to touch like 100 and then had tj and came back throwing 90-poo. It was reasonably effective in the minors but I don't think they ever expected he would be this effective lol. Has been a pretty amazing story.

I think the argument of "have to figure out if there's anything here" with Kjerstad is a valid one. He's either going to languish in AAA for the rest of time, give you confidence to trade Beavers if needed, or get traded himself. EBJ has been good the last couple months, but isn't on the same clock.
