I'm not competitive, although you should check this one out! Northern Ireland. Some 1000 years plus.

In these dark days I feel that I ought to share a special photo of my very special rescue dog, Sasha. She didn't have a great life until I found her 7 years ago, but is about to turn 11, and gets more beautiful by the day. Fills my heart with joy to see her this way, and particularly when she runs.

It may be early autumn but wildflowers are still to be found. This little beauty is Devil's-bit Scabius.

Early signs of autumn, but don't worry, it's just Spindle, which is always the first to show colour.

In these troubled, and troubling, times, please don't forget to stop and smell the roses. Or rose on this occasion.

Yeah, it's almost as if they have no shame, self awareness or empathy. Maybe they feel entitled or special, like their own rules don't apply to them. Fuck me! Is that six of the traits for pathological narcissism I just ticked right there? Could that mean something.

@jacobitebyname.bsky.social Who needs to go to Southern Europe when they have this on their doorstep?

Have a pint for me in the Crooked Billet. I've been drugged up all over England and Wales, including London. Now resident in Brontë country, West Yorkshire. There are some very lovely pubs, but it's an arsehole rich environment, very sadly.

In lighter news, here's my beautiful dog,Sasha, enjoying a wonderful late summer days morning in Captain Tom's Memorial Woodland, where I'm a voluntary warden for the Woodland Trust and the Upper and Lower Holme House Woods. Stand by for some exciting news, at least exciting for me.

I see your moon, but my camera is not good enough to raise you mine; happy to share anyway. There is great comfort to be found in the wonder and beauty of nature. Xc
