I'm going to change my banner soon but here's the current one. Walker fan art from a few years ago of Geri at the Side Step Bar. This was a step away from my usual style and was a lot of fun to draw.

Illustration of the Side Step Bar from the show Walker. It is mostly dimly lit with stringed Christmas lights and overhead soft light chandeliers. There is a neon sign of beer bottle with lime wedge and other neon signs on the wall that read "Side Step Bar", "Texas Bar" and "Open 7 Days". Other wall decorations include a moose head, traffic Yield sign, the Texas state flag, Speed Limit 30 sign, and a boar head.
In the centre is a woman pouring a bar pouring a drink and bottles on the bar countertop. In front are bar chairs, a keg and a tray of glasses resting on top of a milk crate.

For 2 years, my XP Pen display had a scratched screen so I stopped using it. Today I was looking into a comparable compact display and realized… there was a screen protector on it THE WHOLE TIME. I just need to replace it. Omg.

A drawing display tablet sits on a wooden table top and green craft mat. In the top left corner, my hand is peeling part of the plastic clear screen protector off the black display area. There is a bit of glare from an overhead light on the screen as well as air bubbles between the protective film and screen.

Any suggestions for a Print On Demand service that does tees/ clothing? Current service I used messed up my order TWICE. I know Threadless is the popular one but looking for all options. Bonus if it’s Canadian.

Hi new followers! I’ve been in the animation industry since 2012. Most of those years within the storyboard dept - however, the past few years have been slow. I’m based in the GTA and working on my own animated project.

Sometimes I like technical drawing ~Many hours later~ Why did I choose pain? (I’m satisfied with the WIP, it’s just one of those pieces that take longer than expected and now I just want it to be done).

A picture taken on an angle of my computer screen. On the display is a black and white technical drawing of a fictional submarine from 10 different angles. There is also a grid and perspective guidelines on the working area. On the left edge of the screen is the toolbar and along the top, program menus. Along the bottom are Mac icons.

Anniversary gift from my husband!!! 🤩 I know there’s a live action Scooby show in the works but I really wish it was this. This would suit a mini series format so well.

A picture of the cover of “Scooby Doo Apocalypse” Omnibus. On the cover is Daphne (top. Wearing a green bandanna over her mouth, green goggles, and purple shirt. She is holding a large sic-fi gun.) On the left is Fred wearing an orange bandanna, white tee shirt and holding a sci-fi machine gun). On the right is Shaggy (wearing a plaid shirt, glasses with green lenses and is holding a submarine sandwich. Bottom left is Velma (wearing large glasses, an orange turtleneck, red sweater over top and holding a smartphone). Bottom right is Scooby wearing a high tech lense over his right eye.

I did it! Made it to Friday. I won't be colouring those specific designs until I figure out environment colour. I'll be posting more Diver Duncan in the next few days.

A screenshot of an excel file titled "pre production". First column is an itemized list of designs with a few fields listing "Spoilers!" and "more spoilers". The second column lists categories. The categories are Character, Effects, Environment, and prop. The third column header reads "stage". The stages listed are "Colour" in green, "Rough" in orange, and "Not Started" in red. The fourth column header reads "notes". There is a silly little drawing of me in the top right corner

When it comes to the animation world, there is something that brushed me the wrong way for the past decade and it's when people call an animator or an animation "bad" because it's not smooth like sakuga/anime ; vintage disney era. All animations does not need to be smooth to be called "good".

Visual artists aren’t born with “talent”. It’s a skill that never stops developing. Anyone can draw and will improve with practice. There are people who make art their job. Pay them. + Art and basic design literacy should be taught so I don’t have to look at ugly AI ads small businesses are using.

That’s basically it. As much as I love what I do, we choose shots and acting, those shots and acting are disposable because they are at the whim of directors/producers. We shouldn’t be responsible for keyframing, animatic or timing. That’s a more solid part of the pipeline, when decisions are made.

fun reminder: the reason why they make these fucking pointless "live action" remakes is because since it's "live action", the animation is considered "vfx" and not character animation, so they can pay these non-unionized satellite studios fuck-all and make a cool few million for essentially nothing
