Spike of Bensonhurst 4K 9/10 #FilmSky I forgot how damn funny this movie is. I don't think I've seen it since it's theatrical run circa 1988. The transfer, per Fun City, Newly-restored from it’s original 35mm camera negative, is near perfect...I doubt this movie has ever looked better.

One remarkable thing about the Stargate TV franchise is how fresh and creative the team kept the writing across 17 seasons. I became a fan circa 2009 when catching an episode of Stargate Atlantis, went back and watched all of SG-1, and watched SGU in real time.

Is there anything stopping MGM+ from picking up the Gero Stargate project? Their flagship show, #From, is coming to an end, so having a proven tentpole, with pre-production primarily done already, seems like a no-brainer. #SaveStargate

Think of the families that have passed on their love of Stargate, never mind what a fresh cast could bring to the table. No fans are as loyal as science fiction fans, no fans are as vocal in trying to get people to watch the shows they love.

#SaveStargate @amazonmgmstudios.bsky.social You hired Stargate veterans to give the fans what they asked for; a new show, a new direction, set in the same universe. The possibility for old faces to show up, to wrap up story lines that were leftover, but keeping it totally accessible for new fans.
