![A post on Discord regarding the app's Global Age Verification rollout.
User and streamer Miselia posts:
"So people are aware, Discord is STILL looking to do this and it's STILL something to be angry about. They pushed it back so you'd forget and they could wait out the initial outrage.
If you care, consider starting by canceling your [Discord Nitro subscription]. Vote with your wallet first."
An embedded image of a post from Wumpus Central, an official account regarding Discord updates, reads:
"Discord is going to reintroduce Global Age Verification, which restricts teen accounts.
Teens will face several limitations:
- Blocked access to NSFW channels and servers
- Sensitive media automatically blurred in chats and direct messages
- Mandatory message requests for incoming texts
- Restricted speaking access in Stage Channels
To lift these restrictions, unverified adults can confirm their age via one of the following options:
- Credit Card checks via k-ID x Stripe
- Official ID through k-ID
- Selfie
- Google Wallet"](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:5f4h2qayntj6uqqzvq6q7zfm/bafkreiafoeblsst35l4nkbrajbusmrze6qcygctpjzhtcebumksgwiho6e)
