I will be playing more Diablo 3 tonight, but won't be streaming because I have to take some on and off breaks to take care of stuff for the week. Apologies for any progression you might miss.

This Diablo 3 ladder reset was the absolute perfect timing. It has been fantastic to play this weekend. This monk build is less satisfying than the intermediate build I was using, but I think it has potential. I'm slowly learning how I need to use it, and I think it'll be really strong later.

This Diablo 3 season reset is hitting at exactly the right time. I have been in pretty dire need of a cozy mindless time waster like this, especially this week. I am really looking forward to Friday.

Was planning on more DQ3 tonight but I am absolutely wiped. Was tired when I got home and events since then have taken a toll. On the bright side, my Sunday opened up, so I ought to get a lot of stream time in this weekend. Tonight: cat.

I'm going to take a break from the FF3 SSCC's for a bit. I'm not burnt out, but I do want a break before the remaining 4 runs. I'm going to play through the Dragon Quest 3 remake next, starting maybe sometime this weekend? I'm not quite sure yet, but will update as I know.

PJ DiCesare @thesupersnes.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I really beat the entirety of FF3 with a single Bard from the beginning of the game. I didn't have a weapon for like a third of the run, and for the end of the game my weapon did essentially no damage against bosses. What a fucking trainwreck. I cannot believe this was possible.

PJ DiCesare @thesupersnes.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Bard has defeated Xande, one Xande's Clone, and Two-Headed Dragon! Likely have time for one or maybe two more bosses tonight! We're zoomin right now.

....i took my controller out of its case just now and BOTH bumpers broke off. In this controller, the bumpers are a single connected piece, so it usually breaks at one point and leaves the bridge with the other bumper. Both bumpers snapping at the same spot at the same time is...unbelievable.

So tired but this Bard has terrible damaging music to sing to Xande for 4 hours. Gonna make him glad he has the gift of human mortality. We'll see if dinner gives me the energy to Do What I Shoulda Done.

This is the most ridiculous high score I've gotten in the new Star Fox. Fichina with over x4 the points needed to earn the medal using two preposterous strategies enabled by mouse mode. Skip to 1:15 if you're sensitive to spinning, because there's a lot of it... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo4S...

Holy smokes, what a session. I killed the last remaining optional boss, and spent the rest of the stream farming the same room for drops. I decided I technically had enough items to beat the endgame and committed to this being the last farm, and then the drop luck accelerated out of control.

I am making concerning progress on item farming. I *theoretically* have enough now to beat the game if every fight goes well, but two of these fights are marathons and can cost 2+ hours each if I get less-than-perfect luck. Going to keep grinding until I hit my napkin math thresholds.

PJ DiCesare @thesupersnes.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Tornado watch in my area, but Bard still has items to farm before he can beat the game. Going to do that as long as the power holds out. www.twitch.tv/pjdicesare

It might not *seem* like progress, but we're probably only about 15 hours of item farming away from being able to theoretically beat FF3 as a solo Bard. I was expecting this to take literally half a year, so I'm pretty stoked.
