Finally got myself sorted...got bandcamp and soundcloud, my own blog space, BlueSky, instagram x 2, facebook. Got a password diary just for these things. Ive always had all of these but never used them much so cleaned them all out (and of course still recording, painting writing and photography)

I bought this violin yesterday and the guy that was helping me in the shop was fantastic I spent an hour there chatting with him and he even showed me an electric cello as well. Great customer service very friendly and knowledgeable my taxi fare was quite big it was a one-off visit I'm glad I Went

Picked up my small MIDI keyboard from the shop today and I asked them if there was anything else I needed to buy and they said no and went home. I discovered that the cable in the box is USB-C to USB-C and my computer only has USB-A ports in the back.

Here's my temporary hack in my studio. You can see the screen open with my software on it something that I'm working on. In the middle is a z fold laptop stand and on it I'll be sitting quite a small lightweight MIDI keyboard instead of setting up a huge synthesizer or a large midi keyboard #music

This is my current hardback read. It's about the American West and how it was entwined within the white relationship with the indigenous Americans. I cant get one like these... - no local shop sells them -- dont sell ones suitable for fountain pens/paint - mixed media ones paper good, size wrong, number of pages small. - Amazon/Ali Express dont have anything - Australians pay 30% more for American 50% more for European -Delivery takes too long

The midori journal I purchased online recently for my #fountainpen adventures was ok. It was a bit on the thin side and the separate cover was flimsy cardboard that didnt quite slide on snuggly and made the front page bow a bit. As a result Im still looking for a more perfect journal.

Ive finally got myself sorted out for 2 journals that are also diaries for painting and writing in and a 3rd one just for book reviews and bookish stuff. The two painting ones are MEEDEN mixed media.Mixed media heavier paper less pages than a standard 100gsm diary. Had to compromise

Drawing sketching painting and doodling is not a talent. Its an acquired skill that you pick up the more you practice like learning an instrument, riding a bike etc. If you dont do it you will never improve....Do it anyway FOR YOU and you will improve.

Well look for one that size whether its A5 or A4 but with higher GSM than 90 stiff paper is usually around 200-300 gsm

I got a CON 70 for my panda kakuno I heard they were better than the con 40.The panda kakuno (which Ive never used) was very very scratchy. Decided to try the con 70 in my blue kakuno which is very smooth and lovely. BUT stupid me took both converters out upside down and...massive ink dump ick.
