Arsenal fan, south Londoner. I really don’t like Thatcher, still. Machine gun socialist. I demand champagne. The profile is me and my good chums the Ambiguous Dance Company. Larger picture is what socialism gets you.

That meme about words doing heavy lifting? ‘Set’ here means ‘possibly in 5 billion years’ and ‘collide’ means waft across each other like the smoke from two cigarettes at opposite ends of the bar.

Good on Ricky Gervais! It was about time someone explored the comic potential of cats 🐈 👏🤭😹😿.

It’s the collar, a really bad one, that makes this look awful
Ex-Tory Zahawi in an England football shirt which has a multi-coloured collar and looks a bit like a necklace.

Thought you might like to see what’s in that space today.
Picture of Tate Turbine Hall and notice.
Notice reads:

YVONNE RAINER
TRIO A
10-11 July 2026 at 14.00-20.00
Turbine Hall, Free
Experience Trio A, the landmark dance by one of the world's most influential choreographers, Yvonne Rainer.
First performed in 1966, Trio A challenged traditional ideas of modern dance.
At the time, conventional dance was led by the plot, characters or musical score but Rainer wanted to instead focus on the body's energy. The dance features a steady sequence of movements, such as toe-tapping and rolling
Rainer choreographed the dancers to avoid eye contact with the audience, so they became more 'object-like, but not objectified. The dancers do not try to match their movements with one another - each dancer finds their pace based on their own bodies.
Rainer developed this dance after she co-founded the Judson Dance Theater
- a collective of choreographers, filmmakers and artists - in the flourishing avant-garde art scene of early 1960s New York. The group was inspired by the minimalist ideas of North American choreographer Merce Cunningham and composer John Cage, who centred chance and repetition in their work.
Redefining dance for a new generation of artists, Rainer's radical methods are now standard features of contemporary dance today.
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of Trio A, Tate Modern is hosting free performances and screening the 1978 film of Rainer dancing Trio A in the Tanks Lobby, Blavatnik Building, Level O.

Invincible on Prime is cracking. Great TV. Never felt scared for superheroes before. It’s like an 80s sci-fi adventure cartoon but with Superman villains that tear the good guys to pieces.
A still from the cartoon Invincible where the eponymous superhero is about to smash someone in the face.

An update. It’s pretty buzzing inside. The sound of lots and lots of people chatting.
Exterior of The Tankard pub on a London street corner. A Union Jack waves, there are many bright blue parasols above wooden tables on the pavement. A cyclist passes by close to the camera.

@rogerprotz.bsky.social Hello Roger, here’s some good news. The Tankard was closed for at least a year to my knowledge but is springing back to life. 200 years old, the Chaplin’s drank there. Was a spot for watching the patients in the asylum that is now the Imperial War Museum.
Street view of the Tankard Kennington Road. Shows rooftop which once was a viewing gallery where patrons could watch mental health patients in the nearby hospital, now a park. A notice taped to the pub telling readers the pub will reopen following redecoration. It has several scannable codes for more information. @THETANKARD_PUB is a contact.

These two monster slabs have stolen the riverside from South Londoners. From Lower Marsh you could see Parliament. Generations could see Big Ben along Westminster Bridge Rd. Stolen by money-bastards. I feel sick. Gone forever. 🤢 #parkplaza Shame on you.

Which order would have these sherbets? What world the last two be? I wouldn’t want orange and lemon, too similar. Strawberry and raspberry likewise.
Five sherberts, possibly raspberry strawberry lime orange and lemon. Christmas colours. English pleasures.
