If it was my club I’d be fuming. The owners have stolen something beautiful and precious from the city and their fans, and they’ve destroyed it. The way they’ve twisted fans into apologists for their crimes is a part of that – a truly corrosive force for the spirit of the game.

Unimportant in the grand scheme of things I guess, but I don’t like how events since October 7th have flattened the reasons why the Irish support Palestine. It’s not just the genocide. It’s the shared experience of a particular kind of settler colonialism, ethnonationalism and sectarianism.
