I'm going to write a piece about this later after work. Suffice it to say: I've had several patients who were horribly damaged and betrayed by therapists who were trying to talk them out of being LGBTQ+. And it was "only" talk therapy. It's cruel. Wrong. Bad. Shitty therapy. Full stop.

I'm a trauma psychotherapist. Imo, any therapy, even if it's "just" talk therapy, that tells someone they aren't okay being who they inherently are is trying to convert them and is abusive. I can't fathom doing that. (I'm not debating you. 😊 Just putting it out there for folks.)
