Seems like a great time to mention: all acronyms are abbreviations, but not all abbreviations are acronyms. I’m sad we are just letting the distinction die. Acronyms form a pronounceable word (NASA, scuba, radar). Abbreviations that are just pronounced as the letters are initialisms (FBI, UTI).

I’m built for late nights. But I don’t get to enjoy them anymore. Moved to the west coast and I’m working east coast hours. I see 4:30am from the getting up instead of going to bed perspective and there is no contest as to which I prefer.

I use the same mindset every time I use AI to do anything. It’s not to be trusted and it isn’t a craftsman. It’s just a fast lil coworker and it’s mostly an idiot. But it’s not entirely useless. I work in software btw. Not using it to do creative works.

Simon was never the draw. You could see a Simon lots of places. The fact that this one could sing and write incredible music wasn’t discovered until later, THEN he became a draw. People wanted to see what a Garfunkel was from day one. They had questions and hearing about it from others wouldn’t do.

I know it’s not popular, but I genuinely like the show for many reasons. Bought the DVD collections and rewatch it occasionally. I’m no comedy writer, but I am fascinated by that job and would happily have those conversations.

Let them scroll their phones the entire time, I’m still not sure the younger gens are interested in the experience especially at the cost. I feel like they are passively communicating they want home to be really comfortable & they will do everything from there. Theater experience isn’t a draw.

It’s a very simple mindset. They don’t believe in expertise. They don’t know how things work, therefore no one does. They are really smart people and everyone else is dumb so you will believe them. They don’t comprehend that they had advantages that allowed them to succeed inspite of themselves.
