The room was immense. Emily knew from the tour that it rose six stories above ground and half that again below, and took up most of the width of the city-block-sized building, but seeing it from the inside made her feel tiny and fragile. Countless tiles like the one the party was stood on lined the bottom of her vision, each one dressed like a different environment, dotted with structures too small for her to make out. She felt like she was looking a hundred feet down, at a warehouse made to store tiny pieces of a planet.
