New single out on Bandcamp! kimberandthenobodies.bandcamp.com/track/it-sti... Album coming one day! Maybe! Probably! Definitely almost certainly!

This image is album art for the song It Still Lingers, by Kimber and the no-bodies. It shows a darkened room with a glowing red exit sign in the top left. In center frame is a glass door, showing a lighted parking lot beyond. In the doorway is a silhouetted figure wearing a hospital gown. The words "It Still Lingers" surround the figure in large, yellow type.

👀

image shows what looks like a small warehouse with brick walls, concrete floor, and an exposed ceiling. Junk is piled in a corner, next to a cubicle. In front of the junk and the cubicle are set up a number of guitar amps, a vocal P.A. system, and a microphone. A guitar case is leaning against the side of the cubicle. Cords are strewn around the floor.

Be safe Do what you need to in order to survive But please, please, do not stop making art if you can

Kimber, sotting on a couch with high, sound-absorbant walls. She has her acoustic guitar and is wearing headphones. Two microphones are placed in front of her

Same as the previous picture, but a wider angle, showing a barstool-height table behind the couch with a laptop open and recording software up

View of kimber as described before, but taken from above and behind the couch

Selfie of Tara, standing at the laptop described in photo 2. You can see the back of Kimber's couch and the back of Kimber's head, and the mics and stuff in the background

Recording setup of a guitar amp facing a couch with soft, high walls. There is a microphone against the amp, and another about two feet away, close to the wall of the couch. There's a guitar laying on the couch, and it's plugged into the amp.

For gear heads, the amp is a fender 212, the guitar is a fender thinline semihollow telecaster, the amp mic is a sennheiser e906, and the room mic is an AKG C414

Wide shot of the setup shown in the previous picture. You can see a laptop set up on a table behind the couch, and headphones hanging off the edge of the couch's wall. Behind everything is a large glass window. The setting is the lobby of an office building late at night.

Intro post! Kimber Squalor has been a singer/songwriter in the Baltimore area for over a decade. She put out a number of solo records, linked at the end of the thread. In 2019, she had an album's worth of new songs, but she wanted to step things up a bit... 1/5
