My miniature pinscher was actually pretty great at it. He’s caught mice, rats, moles, squirrels, and even a possum. That’s what terriers are bred for, chasing rodents. And pinscher is German for terrier. He’s still around, but now that he’s 19, he doesn’t catch much anymore.

What an adorable guy! I went through a very similar process as Bullet continues to age in slow motion. Even as his disabilities worsened, his tenacity and intelligence has driven him to find new ways to communicate, including simply walking around a lot and tapping on random objects.

Yeah, I took shorter quizzes that pegged me as South Florida more accurately than this one did. Perhaps my decade in Colorado has changed things, but I’m not sure this one is better just because it has more questions. However, the influx of people like me into Colorado seems to be indicated here.

In the hierarchy of controls for safety measures, PPE and education/administrative controls are the least effective while substitution or elimination of the hazard are the most effective. Most people seem to think that we should just educate pedestrians more or make them wear bright colors

I mean, it’s not even that hard to maintain a healthy ecosystem that looks nice. The Denver botanic Gardens adds a blackened die to the water to make it even more reflective. Fish live in there. I know it’s a vastly different scale, but there are good solutions.

Here’s my blind dog. He went blind about two years ago, but it was progressive for about 3-4 years. He’s 19 now. He figured it out and he’s thriving. I just need to carry him more often now.

Rocky’s story has really touched me. He reminds me of my own senior pal. Bullet. He’ll be 19 in a couple months. He’s gone gradually blind with cataracts. He’s my best buddy and I feel so lucky to take care of him.
