Oh and I did play RE Outbreak the day before Requiem's release. That did add to the experience somewhat, but I don't feel that it's a requirement for anyone. Still, Outbreak's an interesting game in itself. Perhaps I'll play File #2 next or replay some of the others?

I'm really happy that I caught up with the series before Requiem's announcement as it feels like a real tribute to fans of all forms of RE. I do have some critique for the game, but I won't get into that. Not yet at least. Just going to say that I loved it :)

I was of course early on my feet yesterday when Requiem was released and just finished it today on my second sitting. I had a blast with it and found it a truly interesting combination of its survival horror origins and the more action based games that came with the fourth game. Much love ♥️

I went bouldering for the first time ever, trying to be brave and a little more physically active. Admittedly my lazy body was screaming in exertion, but it was all in all a pretty cool time. Just gotta try new things more often.

I hope I'll have energy for personal projects once I'm done with my thesis, because now I really wanna make a cosy fantasy cooking adventure game where you play as my little frog fella named Pip, who absolutely loves cooking above all else. Throwing some Wind Waker / BotW mechanics into the mix too.

My only gripe is my upstairs neighbour, who sounds like they are gaming with some friends. They seem to be having quite a lot of fun, but they are pretty expressive about it with how loud they speak and laugh. I can relate to that though lol. Still, it kinda disturbs my peace occasionally.

I've settled into my new apartment, and it's quite nice. There's not as much space here, but I think I prefer it. There was quite a bit of echo in my old apartment. There's a lot more traffic here, too, so it balances out any noise that comes from the building. So far so good.

I might have secured a new apartment! 😭 It's a lot smaller than my current one, but its layout is so much cozier than any other I've lived in and it's a newer one with (apparently) more peaceful atmosphere and better soundproofing. Just gotta wait for confirmation though.

I haven't played it yet, but I recall Heaven's Vault having a mechanic concerning learning an ancient language to some extent. It's probably not as pivotal as in CoS though, but it might be of interest to you 😄

I went to see the new Superman movie a few days ago and it was genuinely great! I haven't watched a lot of superhero stuff in a while, but this one was a lovely surprise. It had a lot of good vibes and an awesome contrast to the gritty and dark content that we mostly get nowadays. More of this pls!

I've been struggling a bit in getting started with my thesis project since my neighbours tend to absolutely ruin my sleeping schedule. All I can do is make more complaints for now, but I've finally gotten into doing worldbuilding and other general writing for the game. I'm excited for it ❤️

3/4 The two are both fantastic, but they are different enough to stand on their own and I love them for separate reasons. The same goes for DS1 and DS2. There's enough familiarity to make the sequel a welcoming experience for veterans of the first game while offering a new perspective on it.

2/4 from the first game. It's really hard for me to say whether or not it's better or worse than the first game and I mean that in a good way. The closest comparison I could come up with while playing were the first two Alien films; Alien is a great horror movie. Aliens is a great action movie.

1/4 I beat Death Stranding 2 just now. To say that I'm a confused mess of emotions would be an understatement. I loved it a lot. There were times when I questioned that, but in its jaw droppingly baffling moments there is an amazing balance that, in my opinion, makes it a very different experience

It's taken me most of the day to replace my motherboard and cpu, but holy moly am I glad that it's done. Still installing drivers and apps, but now my PC is once more future proof and Windows 11 compatible. I can work on my projects without having to worry about that stuff.

I finished it today and I'm quite sad it never got a sequel. It could have been expanded on dramatically gameplay-wise and the story could have gone in all kinds of interesting directions. I hope against hope that it may be picked up again in the future for a sequel. Worth the price on sale.

I thought I'd try something different for a change and took a chance with The Order: 1886 and... Dammit, this is, in my opinion, an underrated game. Yes, it is VERY linear, but the worldbuilding, the story, and the characters are super cool. It's incredible to think this came out in 2015 for PS4...

I think it's also helped a lot that I've played games in general significantly less. It's an addiction. I've admitted that to myself a very long time ago, but it's only now that I'm genuinely trying to make changes. I've felt more alive and have enjoyed life more with a relaxed perspective 💖

I went back to play the Resident Evil 4 remake that I hadn't finished and my love for this genre is reignited. I hope to explore more survival horror after this and I especially need to play the original first game still. I have only played its remake, but otherwise I've finished all the originals.

Just to add: I'm not a fan of these live action remakes, but this one, I thought, had real potential. These remakes are not made for fans of the originals, of course. They are directed for the young and new viewers. The least you could do is include the good messages that made the originals great.

I genuinely wanted the new one to be good too! The little bits that I had seen before release looked promising (and it was just a genuine joy to see Stitch again). There are a lot of good messages in the original and I hope that this new one will at least inspire people to check it out 💙
