Am up to S2E1 of BONES—never did a FULL series watch. Well written, good acting, far as I can tell, realistic bone/body props. BUT!...they do TWO things TERRIBLY: Booth & Bones are always in a fake car w/rear projection. The projection is ALWAYS bad, & they physically shake the car WAYY too much.👇

Anybody want vol 1 of RACHEL RISING? Just pay for shipping. (Or, if you're in #NYC, you can come grab it anytime.) I'm looking to clear out a few books this season, so this is just the 1st... It's a gorgeous comic about witches hanging out in NE & maybe stopping killers and halting the apocalypse.

Local theater having a BTTF marathon. It's very cool, and I'm trying to decide if I want to go (I've VERY clear memories of seeing each one in the theater, so it's not like I'm dying for that experience), but I'm just not sure if I can get there by the.... checks photo.... 78th of October?!!?

Happened upon 2007 Marvel mini SILENT WAR—making the INHUMANS *far*more interesting than they've been since Crystal sat in for Sue on the FF. Pt 2 of an *unfinished* trilogy; subsequent writers & stories FULLY IGNORED it, leaving them in a disappointing state of status quo (far as I'm aware) since.

In this final story in The Muppets Take The Marvel Universe comic, The Avengers are looking for new recruits. Writer and artist (see final pic below) really GET The Muppets... and handle Fozzie's exuberance and personality PERFECTLY here. And the comic timing/pacing the artist creates is also great.

The Internet Archive has a draft of THE AVENGERS: KANG DYNASTY, & it is more than just a little terrible. In the first pgs, Kang meets w/Immortus & Rama-Tut, planning the end of the multi-verse b/c of the superheroes. It has no context b/c we've NEVER SEEN these guys FIGHT THEM. Then, there's this:

Disney+ has a little button that reads NEXT FOR YOU when a movie is ending (i.e., as soon as the credits run), it DARKENS A THIRD of the screen, and YOU CANNOT EXIT out of it or remove it to watch the credits. TheRealityComics @therealitycomics.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Willing to bet no one even noticed it. It's not like they had a character marching through the titles giving a "Heil, Hitler" -- if ANY cartoon, in any decade, ever did that, people would freak the eff ou--- oh, whoops. (And I post this as someone who unapologetically loved this much-hated series.)

120

TheRealityComics @therealitycomics.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

I'm not a marketing wizard, so why would you make an ad out of shots from a bunch of movies & series that makes it look like they're all the same and thus lacking originality?? This kind of edit isn't new, but this one just really feels poorly conceptualized. P.S. I'm still rooting for this DCU.
