The Social Reckoning (2026): *sigh* Can someone please tell me why this movie was made? Sony should've scrapped this the moment Jesse Eisenberg declined to return. While I don't think this was outright bad, it's painfully middle of the road. Give me "The Social Network" any day over this. 5/10

The Social Network (2010): I think this movie is now one of my favorites of the 2010s, because this was phenomenal. Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield's performances, David Fincher's direction, and Aaron Sorkin's script really sold me on this. Will "The Social Reckoning" be just as good? 9/10

Gonna be seeing "The Social Reckoning" later today, but first and foremost, it would only make sense to watch the movie that this movie serves as a sequel to: David Fincher's "The Social Network." Never seen this movie in its entirety before, so this should make for an interesting watch.

So let me get this straight. David Ellison says he wants his newly formed Skydance Corp. to invest in both original stories and franchises despite the $80B debt load of the company and called WB's "Sinners" his favorite film of 2025, yet he proceeded to fire the executives who greenlit said film.

The only way I'm gonna be seeing this movie is if the reviews are decent at best. The marketing has done next to nothing to get me interested in it and I have a feeling this could end up being another "Strange World" or "Wish" level disaster for Disney if the quality of this film ends up being poor.

Donnie Darko (2001): This is a movie that I don't entirely understand, but goddamnit I thought this was great. The massive following this has can't be overlooked. Jake Gyllenhaal's performance really steals the show here. Maybe my appreciation for this will grow the more I look into it. 8/10

Digger (2026): As weird as this movie is, I personally think it’s excellent. It almost felt like a modern “Dr. Strangelove.” I will not be surprised if Tom Cruise wins an Oscar for his performance, because I think this might be the best role of his entire career. This was well worth the wait. 9/10

I have very middling feelings about this new version of the film. I'm not gonna go into much detail, but given that 99% of the film is unchanged for this new release, I'd say this is still just as epic now as it was back in 2019. We'll see what "Doomsday" brings to the table in a few months. 9/10

Heart of the Beast (2026): While this movie doesn’t particularly reinvent the wheel, I think this is one of David Ayer’s best as director. There’s a lot of beautiful cinematography in this. If movies about a man and his dog are your bread and butter, you might like this one. 7/10 (GIF unavailable)

Forgotten Island (2026): If it weren’t for the existence of “The Wild Robot,” I’d call this the best DreamWorks movie of the decade, because holy shit this was beautiful. This felt like an entirely different film than the one that was advertised and I urge you to watch this when you can. 9/10
