And that's the end of Star Fox 1. Not the actual end of the comic, though. In fact, this is only about halfway through the comic... but we're gonna stop here. The rest of the comic IS properly bonkers, though. There's twin clones of Andross in them, it's wild. Anyways, enjoy the new game!

I love how the other Star Fox members finally arrive just to immediately be left out again.

100

...is James McCloud pulling a Mufasa?

100

I hope they end up in Out of this Dimension. Gotta get back to work, more later.

010

...wasn't expecting the Beatles reference...

100

I think Fox has daddy issues.

100

Oh yeah, in this James is called Fox Sr. So odd.

100

D-did we just skip almost the entire original game in a one page montage?!

100

The Arwing can do that? ...so THAT'S how Star Wolf keeps coming back!

100

Fara is an odd inclusion, right? That's not just me? Like... this is to tie in to the ORIGINAL Star Fox game before they created the concept of women. Anyways, all I got for now. More next break.

And finally, Star Fox is IN their Arwings!

Finally, everyone's FAVORITE Star Fox character... Fara!

...I promise, I'll return to One Piece soon. I feel bad, but I just have been having a lot of motivation issues. However... today we're taking a detour. Tomorrow the new Star Fox 64 Remake is coming out, and I'm excited. So... we're gonna read some Star Fox comic today.

Me: I generally don't really like when classic Doctor Who goes beyond 4 episodes a serial. Some 6 parters work, but usually it's overkill. Also me: I love the 14 episode story Trial of a Time Lord so much I bought it on VHS AND Blu-ray.

The R2 Dude @ther2view.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Doctor Who is on my mind so you might get multiple posts about it from me today. And yeah, I know, One Piece. I'm returning to it next week. So anyways, I just want to say I don't think there's been a bad actor to play the Doctor. Even if I don't like a Doctor's Era, it's never been because of them

Well, Doctor Who is officially in the Wilderness Years again. And honestly... that's probably for the best. Apart from Ncuti himself the last era of Doctor Who was largely a net negative. I don't like the Chibnall era at all, and the Timeless Child arc I especially hated, but RTD2 did more damage.

Zoro's stick in the trap, Luffy's a dumbass that doesn't know what North is, and Nami only cares about the treasure. Guess you're fighting this one on your own, Usopp.

201

...damn it, Usopp! You had ONE job!

100

...Kuro, you dumbass, you're HOURS away from victory and you chance being found out NOW?!

100

All four members bring equally important things.

100

Mr. T is constantly risking his life while pitying the fool.

200

Ah, the start of the infamous SBS section! These are only going to get weirder. And dirtier. ESPECIALLY dirtier. Anyways, next chapter next break.

111

I hate this early Viz translation... What Usopp is ACTUALLY declaring in the second page is that since he's a liar and everyone believes he's a liar, he'll fight as hard as he can to ensure that his warning REMAINS a lie. It's just such a more powerful line than "This time my tale will come true."

200

All in all today's been a bit of a bummer, hasn't it sir?

100

Damn, not even Kaya will believe him. I got some mixed feelings about this arc which I'll get into, but this part is very effective.

100

Ok, NOW the steaks are razed! ...I'll see myself out.

210

Apparently lying every day isn't a good thing. Insert timely political commentary here.

100

Ah. Well. ...this is awkward.

Kept you waiting, huh? One Piece Volume 4, let's go!

100

I totally forgot to share this! At the beginning of this month I went to my local Comic Con where Ryan Drummond was a guest and got him to sign my Japanese Birthday Pack copy of Sonic Adventure 2!

Finally beat Chinatown Wars. Will be back with One Piece on Tuesday.

Sorry, I know it's been a while, and I promise I will return to One Piece on here relatively soon. I've just been bit by the "Autistic Random Hyperfixation" bug and been playing GTA games on my phone. By the way, Chinatown Wars is hilarious. On the anime side of One Piece, though, I made progress.

The R2 Dude @ther2view.bsky.social · 11/04/2026

...Sea Wolves? Early 00s Viz, what were you smoking? Anyways, that's it for the volume! Be back Monday with Volume 4!

Hey... you guys ever hear the story of the boy who cried wolf?
