16th game of 2026 beat. Wolverine. It was ok. relatively short and played it safe on a lot. The combat felt good, when enemies weren't dog-piling you without a chance to react or block/dodge it and the "smell trail" wasn't nearly as bad as reviewers were making it seem. All in all, another AAA game.

5th comic series/graphic novel of 2026 read. Harrow Country. Actually finished this one a while ago, but forgot to post about it. Pretty solid read and the environmental art reminded me a lot of Over the garden wall. Love the vibe, but the story was a bit meh.

8th book of 2026 finished. Tender is the flesh. Super dark read. One that I'd say stuck with me more than Blood meridian. Yet another read I wouldn't recommend for everyone. And although it's considered a dystopia fiction, it borders quite a bit on horror. Next read might be something a bit lighter.

7th book of 2026 finished. Dungeon Crawler Carl: Doomsday Scenario. An enjoyable read. I still enjoyed the first one a bit more. I'm also finding what felt fresh in the first book, starts to get a bit stale here. Either way, taking a break from Carl and starting Tender is the flesh. Wish me luck.

4th comic series/graphic novel of 2026 read. Umbrella academy vol 1. Really enjoyed this one. Super weird, but the hellboy styled art, and weird story works in tandem to create an interesting comic that I'd love to finish and see if the show lives up to the hype/does the comic justice.

3rd comic series/graphic novel of 2026 read. The Mask omnibus Vol 1. Always been interested in picking this up and finally went through the first volume. Loved everything about it. From the story, the dark humor, and especially the artwork throughout. I might need to rewatch the movie soon.

1st and 2nd comics series/ graphic novels finished. Smile for the camera & Phantom of the opera. Both solid stories. I liked smiles ending a bit more, but I was obsessed with @martinsimmonds.bsky.social style, and the Phantom's design is my favorite of any iteration I've seen. #comics #horror

15th game of 2026 beat. Dante's inferno. I don't have a lot of nice things to say about this game. Especially if we're talking about the platforming. And beyond a certain point, I feel I only really finished it out of spite. If there was one thing I liked though, it'd be the designs and concepts.

14th game of 2026 beat. Fable Heroes. A short and fun little couch/online co-op beat em up set in the Fable universe, where you play as puppet versions of several main characters throughout the series. May have to boot up the Kinect next and try out Fable The Journey.

13th game of 2026 beat. Fable 3. Definitely my least favorite out of the few I've played. It has it's charms, but that endgame slog killed any interest in completing the remaining side quests and that was after having well over the recommended amassed gold required to keep all my promises.

12th game of 2026 beat. Resident Evil Code: Veronica X. This was the first RE game I played when I was younger. Too bad nostalgia couldn't carry the game for me. It's bogged down by some pretty bad design choices and is notorious for it's difficulty. Here's hoping the remake is better.

4th book of 2026 finished. We used to live here. Read via Libby, since I finished my previous book on a flight, and quickly found myself needing to finish. The book had me constantly on edge, which is a first for me as far as thriller/horror books go. Highly recommend.

4th book of 2026 finished. Horror Movie. Isn't quite what I'd call horror, but tells a compelling story that slowly peels away layers of the infamous (fictional) "movie." and the last few chapters were worth the price of admission (or price tag, I guess.)

11th game of 2026 beat. Control. 4th time picking this back up and I finally beat it. I love Alan Wake, and this game has interesting concepts and beautiful environments. Unfortunately, it's held back by some not so great gameplay design choices. Either way, I'm now ready for Control Resonant.

3rd book of 2026 finished. Blood meridian. Very dark read. Especially considering many of the things that occur are based on historical accounts. Even the infamous "Judge" character is based on a real man of the same name, appearance, and deeds. Entertaining, but definitely not for everybody.

10th game of 2026 beat. Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. Had a blast with this game. I've tried playing every version and I was finally able to get through it thanks to this remake. Sometimes the plot drags a bit, but the QOL changes make this worthwhile. Fingers crossed for a DQ VIII remake.

9(1/2)th game of 2026 beat (again.) Diablo 3. Had a friend who never played, so it gave me a perfect excuse to dive in and play through again. Went with a demon hunter this time around, and finally started hitting paragon levels. Now jumping into Diablo 4 as a druid.
