They introduced me to a local club that swapped fansubs. That was where I obtained the first 2 episodes of MKR. Never saw any more of it than that, but I loved the opening theme. I got an MP2 of it way back, which I eventually converted to an MP3 and I still have that file today. 😁

There's a reboot? This was one of the first anime I ever watched in Japanese with subtitles. I'd only watched English dubbed anime until I made my first otaku friends in high school (otaku is 90s for "weeb" in case anyone didn't know).

Well, sadly consoles aren't immune from the hardware price hikes either. The next gen of consoles will probably cost about as much as a mid-end PC. Especially if the Steam Machine is any indication.

It's called voicing an opinion. It lets Sony, and other interested parties, know that this is something they don't want. The media has picked up on it, so yes, it has made an impact. Sony has even surveyed developers about it as a result. Will it change things? Have to wait and see.

I think I mentioned this in another thread yesterday, but WoW Classic: Microsoft I can't abide by Microsoft's current course, so I've decided not to buy from them. Well that, and the fact that they don't allow you to sub for just one month anymore. It's either minimym 3 months, or recurring sub.

Xbox never had "glory days." The closest they came was Xbox 360 and the RRoD seriously kneecapped them. The Series X started out promising despite all the previous failure, but Nadella got in the way instead of letting them cook. You gotta tak| time to BUILD an audience! You can't just buy one!

Just to add a few of my own... Touch screen controls are TERRIBLE when quickness and accuracy are important. 😩 Phone batteries die super quick when gaming, and MMORPGs tend toward longer play sessions. Phone internet is slower, less stable, and often comes with data limits compared to PCs.

My first MMO character was in a little-known game called Dark Ages. He was a green-haired monk named Parlis. He was pretty weak, but only because Monk was a horribly under-powered class. Balance was basically non-existant in that game. Still isn't even today.
