I think webcomic oldheads could stand to have a convo abt how much we bemoan that the space isn’t like how it was while still participating in the setting of standards and corporatization. I don’t really trust that convo to go well on Bluesky tho.

Two things can be true: Webtoons is a bad company + paypros and social media are stifling the reach and monetization of queer expression, AND ALSO, nothing is stopping you from making queer comics and putting them online.

Yeah I notice a lot of whack behavior now especially in drivers, maybe it's just really noticeable at work bc I've been there a long time and this kind of thing was definitely not nearly as much of an issue prior to COVID.

Example: I fill out form to switch phones between two offices. Fields on form are literally 1) what is person A's ext & office. 2) what is person B's ext & office. Guy who gets my ticket responds by asking what the exts and office numbers are for phones that need to be switched. Like???????
