Imagine buying a video game and then letting Claude play it for you because you can't be bothered to get the joy from solving a puzzle yourself.

Original Star Trek TNG TV promo. I was 15 at the time, remember seeing this thinking how bad it looked. 36 years later and I was crying like a baby watching the Enterprise-D fly out of a space dock with the same crew.

The reality is that the US tech sector has shit the bed, will bankrupt itself trying to chase a profit margin that will never exist, and bring everything down with it. Money will continue to pour into AI to prop it up, draining it from every other industry. archive.is/202610092205...

Apparently, these are the most common night terrors. I now want a fighting video game franchise solely based on this motley crew. Or - "Night Terrors Save the World" - where everyone's favourite paralysis demon decides to help fight off an alien invasion to save the human they're attached to.

Who wrote the dialogue and did the voiceover for Biddy Blas in Star Wars: Galactic Racer? Possibly the best character ever in a SW game. Take a bow, this guy is a hoot!!

Watched Fall 2: Deadpoint last night, a needless sequel where they really are pushing this hard to be a franchise by setting up for another movie. Utterly implausible situation, with characters you just want to fall down the mountain and get it over with.

Digger is a work of art, a real cult classic. I can see why the trailers are cut the way they are; they cannot tell the full story without revealing the film's layers and spoiling it.

It reminds me of big swings like The Adventures of Baron Munchausen by Terry Gilliam. Wildly ambitious, utterly bonkers, and the world is richer for its existence.

I don’t know how Iñárritu can pass this off as a GenZ movie though, I can see what he was thinking but that was a misfire. It’s more than that.

I'm still glad this movie exists and that Iñárritu and Cruise took a punt on it. In a world where every film feels like a safe bet for an instant box office weekend return, Digger gives it the bird. I honestly don't think Cruise thought this would break any records or even break even at the box office, despite his pulling power. I think he knew this film would play the long game and get people talking about it long after it's gone from the big screen.

That's how I feel about Digger. You can't define it unless you've seen it. And the messages are subtle, layered and crystal clear all at the same time. Sure, it's got some inconsistencies and niggles, but what movie hasn't?

Plus, Maggie the Cat is the real star of the movie.

Do yourself a favour, go see it, not for Tom Cruise but to make sure this kind of ballsy filmmaking can still happen. Because now that Skydance has so much control over Hollywood, it could be a long time before Warner Bros. releases another like it.

Everyone will focus on the box office bombing, and that’s a real injustice.

Thinking about all the IP sitting in limbo that’ll most likely never see the light of day again because they aren’t deemed profitable. This is hell.
