1/2 The weather this year has been horrendous. Barely a drop of rain in 2, 3 months? It's been a good year for insects though. Our eryngium and echinops have been covered in bumblebees (white-tailed and common carder pictured).

OK, I wasn't prepared for this. I tried the cereal box, the colander, but they were a bit rubbish I improvised with tracing paper on a Six-20 Kodak, viewed on the enlarged live-view of a 105mm macro lens. A bit Heath-Robinson, but it worked!
