Is it just me or does birthright citizenship seem to be one of the only unambiguously clear principles in the Constitution? It should tell you something that the Supreme Court has never looked at the matter in *checks watch* 126 years after striking down the Chinese Exclusion Act as unconstitutional

Our republic fell not by sword or cannon, but checkbooks and handshakes. The fourth branch of government—the electorate—has been totally highjacked by a few billionaires who own and manipulate the very platforms where most get their information. It all feels quite dark and disempowering.

It is kind of nerve wracking being on the edge of yet another paradigm shift. The open consolidation of power over the last couple of months into the hands of a new kleptocratic oligarchy is a lot to process. Time will tell, but it feels like we just witnessed the end of our constitutional order.

Not that things are better for me in Florida, but the conversations I have had with professors here at FSU have been nothing short of liberating—especially ones about my faith.Not that BYU doesn’t have similarly great professors, it’s just nice being in an environment where that isn’t dangerous talk

Btw if you want an easy and extremely useful New Year’s resolution I recommend keeping a planner. I did that last year and it was so useful it was easy to keep one and legit kind of transformed things for me.
