A common, and understandable, mistake with noise in the workplace is an employer getting the strongest hearing protection they can find as stronger must be better. The problem is, too strong tends to give less overall protection. For more info: www.thenoisechap.com/noise-safety...

Did you know that hearing protection has a shelf-life and in most cases doesn't last indefinitely? For ear muffs that is usually between two and five years from the date they were made. Replacing them should be part of an employer's noise risk assessment. www.thenoisechap.com/noise-safety...
