In response to Trump exiting the Paris Agreement, the mayor of Paris who has been widely praised for her successes in reducing Parisian pollution calls on climate defenders to not give up, and that Paris can be counted on.

This was expected at COP29, it’s no surprise. Biden delegates were putting on a brave face. But it’s hard to express just how devastating this will be for the fight against climate change,

For all Trump's talk of manufacturing jobs, you didn't see the CEOs of GE and Caterpillar sitting in the prime seats today. You saw the CEOs of Amazon and X and Meta and Google and TikTok. It's the attentional oligarchs whose power he cares about.

My uncle brags about how he went to MLK’s march on Washington. He does weekly Talmudic studies. He also voted for Trump. Over the weekend he said “Hitler did good things for Germany, if he hadn’t killed Jews he wasn’t so bad.” I will think about that a lot over the next 4 years.

Funny that Musk would applaud Trump ending EV tax credits since Tesla stock is so buoyed by them. But Trump wants to put the American flag on Mars, and that’s what Musk really cares about.
