You may also notice another new feature on that story: a bullet-point summary with an overview of the key takeaways. While some outlets turn to AI to generate these summaries, all of ours will be human-written, just like the stories that follow.
a summary block with bullet points that read:

- Synapse Data Centre Inc. has a $10-billion plan to build a sprawling data centre, along with a natural gas power plant to supply the electricity, in rural Alberta.
- Residents of Olds, Alta., have questions about air and water pollution — as well as the plan to use relatively new technology to keep the systems cool using less water. They first learned of the proposal in late January.
- Many of those questions remain unanswered, even as the company races towards its goal to get permits in place and begin construction in March.

Then, in smaller writing: We’re trying out staff-written summaries. Did you find this useful? With 'yes' and 'no' boxes.
