Any entity that needs a job done out here, far away from their ability to project their influence but needing something done nonetheless, come to us. It’s cheaper to pay us Guild rates than mobilise a wing of frigates to come out all the way here. Far less of a strain on supply lines.”

“He hit you in the face,” Rowan said, “with a taxidermy dog head.”
Danny fished another drink out of the cooler and sat on the lid. “Look, Rowan. Maybe the blond bombshell thing just isn’t for you.”
Rowan turned. “Excuse me?”
“First Fischer, now this…” He wiggled his fingers as if to sum up Grady’s Hound. “You have a type, is all.”
“Yeah, and that type prefers Owen Abernathy,” said Trey.
“I’m telling you, the guy’s all right,” said Mark.
Danny shook his bear and cracked it open, spraying the contents over both of them.
