On this last day of Pride, we are taking inspiration from the changemakers – from the Freedom to Marry plaintiffs and lawyers - to the ones who fought for our rights at Stonewall 56 years ago - to the queer and trans activists leading the fight against Trump and fascism today.

The first Pride was a riot! Today, we commemorate the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots; we remember the history and honor the legacy of the uprising against police and police brutality that, in part, began the larger gay liberation movement and eventual LGBTQ+ civil rights movement.
