So I got run over by a pickup truck. I got incredibly lucky, though I've got a shoulder injury that's gonna be there my whole life, and right now am dealing with pretty bad lasting concussion symptoms. So uh, figured I'd explain it since I'm on the verge of *maybe* recovering enough to steam soon.

Been out of commission for a hot minute (got run over by a truck), but here's my Frieren angle attempt (F.A.A.) (sketch)

Frieren from Sousou no Frieren is trying to look up, but I didn't really quite get the angle right at all

The Demented God of Rotted Skies — Elheizt. He was a just and proper god of the sky through his life, born as a storm to prevent the God of the sun and the god of the sea from fighting. But he lived to long, and as his mind fell, his misrecollection of reality manifested as a temporal disease...

The upper half of a dragon, bloodied and ragged over his green scales and white underbelly, with scant but bones left of his wings, and his own bloody spine talking beneath him like a tail, all speckled in the fungal rot spawned from his aging, godly mind.

Zeveilhas, God of Cruelty. It's heads, known as the three plagues, from the left: Starve, mental cruelty; Wound, physical cruelty; and Else, spiritual cruelty. It was miles long, but it emaciated over time after the flames wiped away its food (society). #digitalart #tabletop #PF2e #Pathfinder #rpg

A plateau overlooks a field of ash, the sky filled with stormy clouds filled with flashes of color from behind them. A large worm with three heads looms over four silhouettes.

It's leftmost head, Starve, is a rounder shape, with protruding button eyes and lips split into three. The middle head, Wound, is simply a bulb with a ten-horned mouth, with spiked teeth and three uneven eyes on its tongue. The rightmost head, Else, seems to be looking towards the viewer themself. It has six tendrils along its neck, with a mouth of spiked teeth and fins behind its eyes.

The same image as before, just colored in amber, and with the titles under the worm heads: "Plague of Loss: Starve", "Plague of Pain: Wound", and "Plague of Beyond: Else".

Together, they all share the title of the singular "Cruel God of Three Plagues: Zeveilhas".

My take on a character from @arukanavt.bsky.social's campaign she's running for me~ The Monster of Xaldrys, a lieutenant of an evil wannabe-gid we accidentally unsealed. #digitalart #tabletop #pf2e #Pathfinder #2E

A pale woman in full platemail minutes a helmet, with purple woven armor underneath. She's holding her glaive in her left hand off to the side, her right hand straining into a fist she holds slightly down from her shoulder.

Under her long, unruly hair you can see a blindfold, also tied over her ears, with a vertical purple eye design adorning it.

Her weapon is a darker steel, with purple armor plating over it featuring large gems that look like eyes between the plates adorning it.

The Witch-Queen of the Depths, Meridea, the ruler of an empty sea. #pf2e #digitalart #tabletop

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

Kaguya had a mostly looser plot, so it could manufacture tailored arcs to zoom into each character's head perfectly. You can't really do that if you have a solid point to the whole manga. Then again, it's not finished, and I've not even caught up, so grain of salt and whatnot.

000 0

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

And I get that. To have a conflict based plot and getting those elements to those levels, you'd really just need a character study on one character (Fate/Stay Night and Shirou), whereas ONK is focused on a bunch of characters pinballing off of one another.

100 1

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

Like, Kaguya was really hit or miss when lore elements and action-y drama came into play, But the struggle of the characters was just connective on another level. Not even just "I've been through this" but just "Their minds work like mine". ONK has that too, of course, but it's not as focused on?

100 1

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

It's definitely better "quality" than Kaguya, with a solidly held tone and a story without any real dragging points (as of ch.130)— Idk if it could top the personal element for me, though. The characters are real strong, but the reveal of Miyuki's room was just... AGH, depressingly unbeatable.

100 1

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

I definitely need to work on my consistency, and I need to give up my mind goblins that only want me to comment on something if I know about it from every angle (not talking politics here, just my mind locking me out of even making media takes). Just gotta let myself say stupid shit sometimes.

100 1

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

Top fucking tier character writing, with a throughline of just how much just the memory of someone or something can loom over your entire life~ As well as being about entertainers, a job / calling that I fancy myself as quite a much. It's just one of those pieces of media that I was made to love.

100 1

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

Not that ADHD is kind to those vying for consistency, but now that I've had a full emotional realization of the problem (brought on by once again banging "entertainment careers don't exist in a utopic vacuum" into my head thanks to ONK), I think I'm finally in a place to solve it... And Adderall.

100 1

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

That, and a yt short from @piratesoftware.bsky.social - I'm trying to treat twitch like YouTube. Building a backlog of streams, and prioritizing getting out there over consistency.

100 1

Themokewl @themokewl.bsky.social · 08/05/2024

Oshi-no-Ko is Oshi-no-Really-Fucking-Good. I'm nothing if not a spongy mirror that just soaks in new things and replaces pieces of my personality with them (which explains part of why I like the series), so it's gotten me thinking about where I'm screwing up as an entertainer analytically lately.

A preview of my most ambitious art piece yet 😨 This scene from Fate/Stay Night means so much to me 💚 Shirou is such a great character 😊 Believe it or not this not even half of the finished piece, so it's gonna be a w h i l e until it's done 😣 The perspective is killing meeed

An anime boy with orange hair, a white shirt with blue long sleeves, and jeans running towards the camera with a sword. His expression is full of determination and defiance.

The first of the four guardians in a mini-campaign I'm running... I decided to go all out on the chuuni-ass boss titles. #art #pf2e #tabletop ... Incidentally, they ended up befriending this man and completely avoiding the cool fight, as well as coming up with a solution to save the world.

An octahedral slab of ice with crudely carved, blocky eyes floats in the middle of a large library. It wears a large, loose cloak, and has two giant ice claws floating at its sides. It's actually a light blue, with darker eyes, and a brown cloak, but a yellowish hue washes it all out. The background is also blurred towards the viewer. Its title rests at the bottom of the screen: "Deathless King of Frozen Oblivion" sits in small text over the name "Alswrannen".

Every single mental health professional: ADHD meds aren't just a magic "Solve every problem pill". Long release Adderall:

A picture of Morpheus from the Matrix, pixelated from being blown up too large, labeled "Morph -us".

Basically I'm saying the pills have fixed all my problems. I am me, though, and everyone else will have their own experiences with medication. It may not fix everything for you.
