Sounds like someone did not try lying down in it. Become one with the corn.

oh my god that's spectacular. the first time I went through ME3 I did *not* have that unlocked and that was brutal enough I can't imagine going through it because of the Kinetic 😅

that's probably not the *most* emotional moment in any video or even in that specific game (which had some doozies amirite) but it's stuck with me for the brutal simplicity of it

meeting Morinth on Earth was one of those "just sit there and stare at the TV in silence for a long time" kinda moments

Arts and craaaaafts (please ignore the pringle-ing). I'd say I learned to better plan what each card will look like before I start but we all know that's a lie 😅

Five hand made Magic card proxies that might generously be described as having been made with more enthusiasm than skill. They feature Kenny Omega as both sides of Sephiroth, Fabled Soldier, Mankind and Mr Socko as The Meathook Massacre, a blood splattered wrestling ring as Phyrexian Altar, and Mercedes Mone carrying her many belts as Cabal Coffers.

All the Disney movies I rewatched a lot as a kid (or as a parent ;_; ) were more recently made. I did watch the classic ones a bunch thanks to The Magical World of Disney on CBC every Sunday :P

I think it's gotta be Empire Strikes Back for me

Mal-coal miner's ghost @themalcolmtent.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

They're actual cards that I've taped onto the cardboard so I can manipulate them without touching the paint/glue. I ~think~ they'll be okay to shuffle once they're sleeved. And these ones are all wrestlers because why not crossover my current hyperfixations 😅

Mal-coal miner's ghost @themalcolmtent.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

lol probably but I appreciated the thought the kid put into it 😅

Mal-coal miner's ghost @themalcolmtent.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Yeah, and I figured if I'm gonna proxy some expensive cards why not got the extra mile and make em fun 😄

Prof says buy singles? Well I say do arts and crafts

Photo of a messy desk top with in progress Magic card alters. There are paint markers, Mod podge, a box cutter and tiny pictures of Kenny Omega the best bout machine

If you haven't read it, David Drake's RCN series is pretty much that

I'm just watching the Pac memorial show now and the whole thing is beautiful and I love how it's like literally everyone else: Ben was a great guy, so kind, so supportive, so dedicated and then Darby, choking up with tears as he remembers being thrown through a flaming table

14yo in the car, unprompted, wistfully: it's too bad Araki didn't listen to The Tragically Hip because Ahead by a Century would be a lowkey peak stand name

The world being so readable and not covered in high-definition density noise like foliage and stuff definitely helps. I can quickly scan the enviro and figure out where I can and can't go. And the flow is great, even in intentionally confusing spaces it's hard to get really lost ime

I think my favourite thing about Control Resonant is the lack of in-world UI indicator on where to go next. Like yes, let me struggle to figure out where tf to go and how to get there. Make me use my brain and locomotion tools.

Happy Mount Day to all who celebrate.

A screengrab of a calendar event for "Mount Day - or that time BioWare asked the fandom what they wanted to mount the most."

Screengrab of an official BioWare twitter post from this day last year. It shows their original tweet asking what the fan's favourite mount was, with a quote tweet of the "horny bonk dog" meme above it.

the crowd is incredibly invested. the father is loudly in support of pink. the heavily pregnant mother chopped the shit out of the blue wrestler. it's the best match of the show
