Fun with my bestie yesterday morning, despite my brutal RA pain. I was pumped full with painkillers, and the neoprene gloves worked like compression gloves, but my wrists still hurt a lot. We snorkeled, dived & stayed in the water for over an hour. What else would you do in 40C degree heat, eh? 🧜‍♀️🌊🤿🐟

Thank you for the links. But for myself I really don't like or want any apps or support groups. I believe that not obsessing over every detail of my illnesses is a better way forward. I do keep in touch with new developments in medicine though. 😊

Yeah, I've been on them before with success, but then I had some kind of "remission" and stopped them about 8 years ago. But without treatment the illness will progress quickly, and I need *something* to slow it down.

I really got my life back with HRT. Now I'm 60 and they told me to stop taking it, and the hot flashes are back, but currently they are mánageable. I might just be over the worst, methinks. But it's still a pain, especially when you're travelling or at work.

.. I mean. I was also on HRT for 2 years until June of this year, because the worst of my hot flashes made me nearly pass out, and this can't happen while I'm driving or I'm in the ocean. And I had them every half an hour, all day long, and I didn't sleep through one single night for 3 years.

Jeez, we both are like a bad car crash, aren't we?! 😂 And sadly, it doesn't get better with age. Although I must say that snorkeling and diving in the ocean has given me the regular exercise and movement that my body needs, without too much pain. Any other exercise, forget about it! You know what..

Thanks so much, sweetie! ❤️ I'm slowly coming off the prednisone after having taken it for about 10 years at low doses, and this is the withdrawal. But also, without the prednisone I have more pain anyway. At my next appt with my rheum we'll have to talk about other treatment options, like biologics.
