Oh man....The Good Place really is a perfect show. Ninth or so watching I feel like and it still gets me.

TheLetsPlayPrincess @thelpprincess.bsky.social · 15h

Me, reading up on King's new book: Why the hell is Stephen King in Big City Greens, isn't that a Disney show?! Brain: Wasn't Harlan Ellison in Scooby Doo? ...touche, brain. Touche.

The entire Legends trilogy timeline retcons all mythologies to be Atlantic tech. The first movie is an alien metal from a meteor. The third movie (The reboot) makes Himiko's whole "Goddess Of Death" shtick go from a soul transfer thing to a "Patient Zero for a hyper-advanced flesh eating disease"

Bravest thing I'll state today: Like half of the Tomb Raider series is sci-fi, not fantasy. Tomb Raider 1? Atlantic technology, technology so advanced it follows Clarke's 3rd law. Tomb Raider 3? Alien metal that causes mutations and other effects, also has a literal alien in it.

...God damnit, I only just put together that Viewtiful Joe is Kamen Rider. He has the kick and everything.

Wow...for a country that steals all of your data to give you ads that match your views and shit, EVERY streaming service right now is playing anti-Democrat, anti-LGBT ads. I kind of want to shatter my TV and delete all these services. THIS IS WHY WE NEED PHYSICAL MEDIA.

TheLetsPlayPrincess @thelpprincess.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

Oh thank God they cancelled that Transformers/Joe crossover film. How about another great Transformers movie instead? Wasn't Transformers One supposed to be a whole trilogy? Or...we just stop the IP for a while. Not that I don't love Transformers, but THE voice just passed.

Four...FOUR pieces of sequel bait. Ok, Control Resonant. I'm all in.

010

TheLetsPlayPrincess @thelpprincess.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

I just beat three bosses in Control Resonant and ALL problems I may or may not have had just got thrown out the window. This may be my GOTY. Every time I think I have a handle on Remedy's bag of tricks, they pull three more out and beat my ass with them. Best company ever.

Can't wait to own a third copy of Rayman Legends and Origins. Just gonna put this out there...knowing that there are new levels, a while story, and all that? I bet Rayman Legends Retold is setting up something big. Like it's secretly revamping the timeline so 1 is set after it.

As this point I have more belief in Beyond Good And Evil 2 AND Viewtiful Joe 3 than I do DEG, Corpse Party 2, and Tiling Town.

As your resident Sonic Slut, let me just say: Please don't make a Sonic Cinematic Universe. I know it's already technically there, but I am more implying the idea that there is no end in sight. Don't make eleven movies and oversaturate the market...find a good stopping point.

TheLetsPlayPrincess @thelpprincess.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

In one single hour Control Resonant jumped to a top five of the year and almost made me cry.

If we are more and more going digital only, give me one good reason to buy a console that isn't a Steam Machine. After all...all my games will be bought on Steam at that point.

...so have you ever had it where your mind wakes up from a dream and you go from the dream to the "darkness" of your eyes closed? There were eyes staring at me in there. And when I opened mine they were still there for a minute, and they blinked. Then I saw teeth. It smiled.

News outlets and networks that say a show was "cancelled" when it has a proper series finale are getting on my last nerve. The show wasn't cancelled. The writer created an X-season storyline, they got X seasons. It's FINISHED. You can say that word, it's not gonna hurt you!

TheLetsPlayPrincess @thelpprincess.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Ok now I need to know, the more I think about the movie the more the first half grows on me. With the pinhole fade outs and similar transitions between scenes, was that to make it feel like an older film? It felt like a film from around Lovecraft's time, like Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari.

Other updates: Suitable Flesh is meh in the first half, but the second half is great. And Tales From The Darkside is the "LOL So Random!!!" Of horror anthologies.

Updates: Grandpa's wake is Thursday and mass is Friday, no way work will give me the time this late and even then the travel arrangements will suck. Have a plan to visit next year. Today is Demo day, tomorrow is Space Or The Unbound, and maybe Thursday Control (no voice).
