Control Resonant is good, actually. I wish I had a little more time for gaming. Last night I encountered The Deserter, got a lucky bug which skipped the second phase, but got obliterated in the third phase, and couldn't try again because it was already too late. Oh man

Would love to love this game but.....Frank the jelly cube is a hard no.

I caved and bought Control Resonant. I have low expectations because Jesse is not the protagonist. Good starting point for a positive surprise? Oh well

They're making fun of the blue tracking gas, even though The Witcher 3 has the exact same mechanic and they loved it for that game.

Does anybody really need twenty minute cutscenes on blockbuster level?

For the past two weeks I've been sinking into the rabbit hole that is German influencer beef. High time I dig myself out again. On a positive note: one influencer calling themselves a reporter is enough that you can quit trash TV for good. And it's less expensive than paying for cable.

Is this a good time to ask for news on Mass Effect 🤣😭

000

thelostshoes.bsky.social @thelostshoes.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

My thoughts exactly. EA has very successfully eaten away at their identity, sabotaged DA4 for so long Veilguard could never have become good, fired good people and drove important ones away. I would love nothing more than another (good) Mass Effect, but I'd rather have nothing than another Veilguard

Honestly, that is so good already! My mom has been trying to teach me and I always get it too tight or I count wrong or something. Also, I can't knit for too long because it makes my wrists hurt 😂 I didn't even know that's possible.

Skinnycheeks was told at the ESO Tavern that the team now has about the size of what it had during Summerset and Wrothgar. With Gina and Kai gone the forums will definitely suffer, but the game is far from dead.

@ocdeidre.bsky.social hey,are you going to play the Netflix horror game? Troy Baker, Sadie Sink, and Zoe Kravitz are in it. It's only ca 35 minutes but really immersive. It's really popular on horror yt right now.

Xbox ultimate is 300€ a year😂 Even the most expensive playstation subscription is half of that. When Xbox announced their price increase they faced huge backlash with people saying they'd unsubscribe. And then they canceled their subscription. Action->Consequence

What's happening with games, man Just yesterday we were saying how much we appreciate what zenimax has done with ESO and what a good game it has been and still is. And one day later half the team is fired, including Gina who's been the face of the community for many. Games are supposed to be fun.

010

thelostshoes.bsky.social @thelostshoes.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

I just learned that Gina Bruno was fired from zenimax. ESO is objectively such a good game with such a good community. I'm stunned.

I'm watching Enola Holmes 3. Love the series, thoroughly enjoy Millie Bobby Brown as an actor. But that accent is killing me, I'm sorry. I know it's her native accent but it still sound fake to me 😔 Could be because all my British colleagues sound entirely different (they have a variety of accents)

I asked this lady if my dog can say to hi to her dog. She said no (which is fine). Her dog is in training (I respect that). And then she proceeded to drag her dog by the harness, trying to force him to drink some water. I guess training looks different for everyone idk

I watched The Boroughs. It was really good to see Geena Davis in this, and especially the Thelma and Louise nod felt great. Not the only prominent face on the show and I totally loved the whole cast. It's a great show about empathy, much needed. Especially now.

Idgaf at all about anything else right now, because My Time at Evershine has a release window trailer! I started Sandrock thinking it's a cozy lil farming sim. And it is. BUT it also blindsided me with a series of completely unexpected story twists and a cast of truly interesting characters.
