Control Resonant is good, actually. I wish I had a little more time for gaming. Last night I encountered The Deserter, got a lucky bug which skipped the second phase, but got obliterated in the third phase, and couldn't try again because it was already too late. Oh man

I caved and bought Control Resonant. I have low expectations because Jesse is not the protagonist. Good starting point for a positive surprise? Oh well

For the past two weeks I've been sinking into the rabbit hole that is German influencer beef. High time I dig myself out again. On a positive note: one influencer calling themselves a reporter is enough that you can quit trash TV for good. And it's less expensive than paying for cable.

@ocdeidre.bsky.social hey,are you going to play the Netflix horror game? Troy Baker, Sadie Sink, and Zoe Kravitz are in it. It's only ca 35 minutes but really immersive. It's really popular on horror yt right now.

Xbox ultimate is 300€ a year😂 Even the most expensive playstation subscription is half of that. When Xbox announced their price increase they faced huge backlash with people saying they'd unsubscribe. And then they canceled their subscription. Action->Consequence

What's happening with games, man Just yesterday we were saying how much we appreciate what zenimax has done with ESO and what a good game it has been and still is. And one day later half the team is fired, including Gina who's been the face of the community for many. Games are supposed to be fun.

I'm watching Enola Holmes 3. Love the series, thoroughly enjoy Millie Bobby Brown as an actor. But that accent is killing me, I'm sorry. I know it's her native accent but it still sound fake to me 😔 Could be because all my British colleagues sound entirely different (they have a variety of accents)

I asked this lady if my dog can say to hi to her dog. She said no (which is fine). Her dog is in training (I respect that). And then she proceeded to drag her dog by the harness, trying to force him to drink some water. I guess training looks different for everyone idk

I watched The Boroughs. It was really good to see Geena Davis in this, and especially the Thelma and Louise nod felt great. Not the only prominent face on the show and I totally loved the whole cast. It's a great show about empathy, much needed. Especially now.

Idgaf at all about anything else right now, because My Time at Evershine has a release window trailer! I started Sandrock thinking it's a cozy lil farming sim. And it is. BUT it also blindsided me with a series of completely unexpected story twists and a cast of truly interesting characters.

You know what's really German? Inviting people to a birthday and serving only coffee and cake. At noon. And then nothing for the rest of the day. Everybody's hungry. Everybody just wants to leave. Nobody is allowed to go anywhere for some reason.

Life is Strange Reunion stresses me out a little because I know you can get a bad ending. Chloe is utterly charming, though. She's really so, so good in this game.

000

thelostshoes.bsky.social @thelostshoes.bsky.social · 28/04/2026

Fun fact: in Germany apartments and even houses don't come with a kitchen. Sometimes you even have to build your own bathroom first. Makes moving shit tbh, time consuming and expensive. If you're renting you can get lucky and the prev owner sells you their kitchen. If you want it.

Just finished Life is Strange Double Exposure. I think Deck Nine is doing a terrific job with Max. The original game was about the writers making all the decisions and calling the inevitable terrible thing they wanted to happen "fate". Double Exposure was about Max getting her agency. Good game.

So when you order a credit card from your bank where you have your account anyway and they give you the option to order it online, I somehow don't think said bank should be ghosting you for three weeks and counting. I just want to be able to make online purchases man. Can't be that hard.

One Piece Season 2 can barely be called a season. It's a clip collection. Vines. A best of, but fast forwarded. Was there a coherent plot? No idea.

Me, watching One Piece S2 E3: "There's only one person who plays the sax like that, but no way" I had to pause and look it up and yes way! Leo P has come from a street musician to a soundtrack to a Netflix adaptation of One Piece. Holy shit.

thelostshoes.bsky.social @thelostshoes.bsky.social · 14/03/2026

Greedfall 2 seems promising so far. It's a little exhausting having to read all the subtitles for that fantasy language but oh well I really like their spin on the Dragon Age Origins combat system. And by spin I mean giving console players an actual pause button, haha
