The views are being castrated, not killed. You can still look at a video's public views, they just aren't a measure of engagement. We do technically have a way of seeing where people are engaged, it's just not hard numbers, and it's not front and center... but I agree that it's an unnecessary change

TheLooneyTurtle @thelooneyturtle.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

But the view count isn't "dead" it's just using a modern standard. Ticktock, reels, shorts, and now; all YouTube videos will have views counted as soon as the video plays. The concern isn't that the views wont be counted, it's that the bots can be counted for watching only a single frame of a video.

HTTYD made some changes, but ultimately stuck to the spirit and visual style of the original, but in live action. LK took the realism too far and lacked the creative soul of the original. Moana, I mean, this screenshot shows it all; Intentional design and passion vs...eh, close enough.

Just saw it with @thelooneyturtle.bsky.social and I legit have never been in a theater that APPLAUDED at the end. As rushed as it seemed getting it in theaters, it was definitely worth it, and even with the mess online and behind the scenes, this was beautiful to see and I couldn't be happier.

"Age Verification" actually means "track everything you do" So, before you give a website your id, imagine that you are about to give your parents and closest friends access to your entire search history. Privacy is important, if you give an inch, the slimiest among us WILL take a mile.

Empty and basic human decency isn't for the dead; it's for the living. A widow and her children watched the head of their household bleed out in a horrific public execution. Don't justify being a heartless and trash person. Advocate for gun reform, and against gun violence.

Can we normalize explaining how something is AI in the posts where we claim that something is AI? It just feels like we could easily make the claim without actually knowing, in turn making it a real possibility that we accuse non-AI posts of being AI, and people just assume it's a legit claim.

I'm thinking of selling custom 2.5 inch pins. I'd be offering 50 pins for 20$+shipping so that I can get in a groove, and make a little profit on each pin. Is there anyone out there that would be interested in that?

A drawing of Befish's pony sona drawn on top of the Babscon vendor map, in Pajamas holding a body pillow with the character Isabelle from Animal Crossing on it. The image says "See Me At The Final BABSCon 2025 at Table H23!" with an arrow pointing towards the table. She has images showing off her buttons, stickers, figurines, fidget toys, and tote bags also included.
