Day 1 at the new job was interesting. I was assigned my computer and briefed on the nature of the project. This has a Ryzen 7950X with 128GB of RAM and a RTX A4000. Welp.

Looks like my main rig is offline, probably due to a BIOS issue again, unfortunately I can't reboot it remotely. Seems like I'll have to continue production of my project outside of the pipeline and merge it back when I get back home.

So I watched the Ocarina of Time remake trailer, I like what they've done with the visuals. The characters look a little weird, but the environments look stunning. One neat thing they've done with the maps is with changes in elevation. It really helps to make everything pop better.

So I'm still working on Pandemonium with one GPU mostly out of commission since it produces EEVEE renders with artifacts. It's a little bit more challenging but it's doable. It does make me reconsider what kind of project I'll do next however.

So it seems like I'm getting more pronounced rendering artifacts when I render EEVEE scenes on Luna. I've done drivers updates, downgrades, nothing changes. I'll probably have to stop using that card.

So it turns out I do have access to a Maya license, and I can actually render my old Maya sets again. With GPU rendering and Optix denoising, I can now render those old sets that took half an hour minimum in two minutes. That's pretty neat.
