L @thel8299.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Yeah that was the first game that they 'localized' that i played as well. It's wild how much they got away with doing in that era. And they were proud of it too! Look at this: 110

L @thel8299.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I tried playing the English version of popful mail first, but Working Designs Working Designs-ed it, first boss is stupid harder LOL 000
L @thel8299.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Been enjoying this retroid pocket lately. Steam deck is great for, well, steam, but retro stuff felt like a lot of backend work even w/ emudeck. This feels nice both in portability and keeping my steam library uncluttered . Put like 3 hours into Popful Mail in the last 24 hours LOL 140

L @thel8299.bsky.social · 07/09/2026surprisingly no! I went and messed with pretty much everything and it noticed no issues. I have a suspicion that they didn't realize there was a standby button on the lower right of the amp that was pushed in. Once i clicked the standby switch off, everything worked perfectly. 010
L @thel8299.bsky.social · 07/09/2026the features on it are pretty robust too! Its a Made In England Trace Elliot, its got two preamps (tube and solid state) that are blendable, a 10 band EQ, separate high and low compression, several pre set EQ curves, its got nearly 300 watts of output. How were they literally just giving this away?? 020
L @thel8299.bsky.social · 07/09/2026There's a place in Seattle called Re-Animated Music, and they had a sidewalk sale today. This was out there in a pile of stuff that had labels about how it was broken. I asked if it was really free and they said yeah. Took it to our jam space and plugged it in, and it works perfectly fine??? 210
