The use of US strategic reserves for a Trump-imposed crisis should be part of this story. Reserves are currently <50% capacity because the president has used them to mute the actual impact of the war for months. They will now be significantly less effective to address the crisis he’s created.

I had never heard this story, and it really is beautiful. Sometimes I think we get glimpses of what the relationship between creation is supposed to look like. Unfortunately, those glimpses are often through lenses of brokenness and sadness. But however brief and clouded, they are meaningful.

Congress passed the Corporate Transparency Act. Trump vetoed it. Congress overrode his veto on a bipartisan vote. So Trump has decided to simply not enforce the law. I do not understand the role of Congress anymore. I guess they just make suggestions?
