This is why black stories are important—and why they need to be available in ALL formats. My book, The Covenant of Blood is almost there, but it's missing an audio version...unless you decide to help me fund it through @backerkit in the next 3 days.

I'm so exhausted #booksky. I really wanted to share my new audiobook with you, but it's looking like few people are actually interested in pledging to the campaign So, while I sulk about this audiobook campaign, I'm going to keep reading Duped by Saul Kassin—it's research for my next book.

A book titled Duped: Why Innicent People Confess—and Why We Believe Their Confessions, written by Saul Kassin, Ph.D.

The cover has two quotes and thirteen photos of people. Each photo contains one person inside a box.

My fave theory about Elizabeth Bathory: She didn't commit any of the heinous crimes attributed to her. The men in power were angry because she was a single woman with an unprecedented amount of wealth, & they needed to knock her down a peg by imprisoning her. It was all patriarchal BS.

I really hate being that person who's constantly trying to sell something, but this isn't just about me... It's about multiple businesses. Yes, mine, but also: my narrator, the artists I work with, book formatters, animators, & everyone else I partner with to bring my stories to the masses.

I have quite a few #TBBchat, but I'll tell you the one in must excited about: The new ATLA Seven Havens. I'm concerned about the animation budget, but I've decided to hold back all criticisms until I've watched it. I am, however, going to rematch Korra before I settle into the new show.

Now #TBBchat, you should know I LOVE animation! It's an important part of media because certain feelings/emotions can only be shown through animation. I love thinking about my books & other stories being turned into animations all the time—especially because the industry has continued growing.

J.S. Living @thejsliving.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Well #TBBchat, that's a hard one. There's so many to choose from. But, since it's made a comeback recently, I'm going to say Totally Spies. The character that stood out most to me was Alex because I always considered her to be a black woman (even though they tried to make her racially ambiguous).
