And finally, the main reason we came out, 3 Inches of Blood! They sounded absolutely incredible. Cam Pipes still has it, the whole band sounds tight. They played every song I wanted to hear except for Wykydtron, a personal favorite. So glad I got to see them again

First up was Fer De Lance. I've neither heard nor heard of these guys. They're an interesting mix. Vaguely 70's sound but heavier. Lots of gang vocals and an incredibly powerful lead singer. He had Russell Allen vibes. Definitely going to give them another listen

At Reggie's, hands down my favorite venue in Chicago They have my favorite cider I'm seeing 3 Inches of Blood for the first time in 15 years with my friend Getting wings before and there's World Championship Solitaire playing on one if the TV's I love this place

Oh boy, a reason to talk about Alpha Protocol! It's an absolutely wild game with dialog choices ranging from "kind of a dick" to "complete sociopath" The combat is like someone combined Call of Duty with Mass Effect 1 The story is incredible Just a product of it's time in the best way

Last but certainly not least is Rivers of Nihil. They put on a fantastic show, but their audio mix wasn't great. Still got the place moving like crazy. Closest I've been to a mosh pit in about a decade. I genuinely forgot they have a saxophone player until he came on stage. Great night, great show

Spent some time in Frisco, TX yesterday and got to see the National Videogame Museum. They don't seem to be on Bluesky but wow was that a cool place. I'll let the pictures do the talking

Just rolled credits on Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. I don't know how I ever had the patience for that last boss fight, without the rewind feature I never would have finished that nightmare This is the first game I've beaten in months and it feels great.
